Please tell me how to get better. D: (I can't color it cause I don't have photoshop yet.... D smile anyways Please critique this work. (my most decent work in a while D: I can seem to draw anything decent just chibis D: ) Please tell me what you think. a little info: Those 2 are the characters of 2 of my friends in angels online (check ao.igg.com for more details) they're also part of gaia so check them out the guy ( Kitaro ) and the girl ( Sachiko) WAHAHAHA! I'm gonna spam them. Joke xp SORRY KITARO!!!!!!! (I had a fight with him D: NUUUUUU )

The only problems I see are the female's bent leg, looks a bit short, and the male's hand which is holding the sword.
But overall I'd say it looks really good and if that's your idea of decent, I'd wonder what your idea of great is o_o;

I kinda noticed the uhhh 'out of proportion' areas XD but I was so happy to finish it (i sat for 2 hours none stop D: ) so i didn't bother correct it. I'll try to make a better one next time. I agree. The arm holding the sword is a bit flattened because of the foreshortening affect. Maybe if you shorten the length of the amount of forearm being shown (if you want the arm to appear raised) and make the hand a little bigger, show more of the knuckles and flats of the fingers...
You really want to show that the fingers are wrapping 'around' the sword handle. Also, maybe even out the shield shape and add some shadow to give it more volume.
One thing I love, though, is the line you used to shape the girls cheek (the one furthest away from the viewer). Its beautiful!

Oh yeah, also, the person on the left seems like his head is turning to the right (his right) at an angle. To me, with this in mind, his head seems a little...eh...thinner than it should be....I imaging we should be seeing more of the rounded back of his head...
