Flag Del Morte

PostPosted: Sat Sep 13, 2008 1:42 am
The Sivoan grinned for half a second as karma came back around for the telekinetic creature, but then he found himself falling again... and this time hit the ground.

He swore.

Then he swore some more.

When what he had initially though was a blob in a suit came over and offered help he took the frustration from the pain in his leg (and pretty much everywhere else) and lashed it out at him.

"I'm not complying with anything until someone tells me what is going on."

At this point the Sivoan didn't care if he had to amputate his own leg. This chaos needed to make sense immediately, for it's what landed him in this position in the first place.

Quinth: "Look, it's just standard medical kit stuff, and you're bleeding pretty bad. I can explain while I patch you up."

When that was refused, Quinth slapped a hand to his face and pulled it down in a gesture of frustration. Dealing with Crazy usually tended to leave him very agitated afterwards, especially with the outright killing and trying to kill him stuff. He approached him, Flag backed away.

Okay, fine. Let's do this the hard way.

Moving with surprising speed that no human should have been capable of, he managed to kick out Flag's legs from beneath him (Which was probably painful due to the injury he sustained), and wrestled him to the ground while he quickly opened the red vial.

Quinth: "Look! I'm just trying to help you. I'll tell you what I know."

He poured the liquid on the injury site, and watched as the bullet wormed it's way out of Flag's body, surprisingly painfree due to the drugs in the healing solution. The wound then stitched itself closed with new flesh. Quinth then took out the shot and tried to apply it to Flag's struggling knee.

Quinth: "What I know is, Crazy, that dragon creature, is a bounty hunter that is after you for some reason. I'm with the Limboian Authorities, and he's one of our most dangerous criminals. Have you done anything to make that b*****d want to come after you?"

Needless to say, Flag was not happy about having to fall a third time and indeed put up a struggle. In fact if the "medic" had had a face, it would be in immense pain right now because it would have probably have just lost it's nose.

When his leg started to heal, however, flag toned it down and watched in mild wonder as it repaired itself. Healing magic was the hardest kind of magic to master because it undid damages done... and yet, here was a liquid that did just that.

"Not unless helping an old lady clean her house is a crime."

He stared at the needle with disdain. Both of the previous time that this "authority" figure showed up he had helped the Sivoan out, but there was something about that needle that looked untrustworthy.

This simple feeling might have been due to the fact that the Sivoan had never seen such an device before AND it looked painful. Quinth could rest assured from his expression that if he came anywhere near Flag with it, that he would have to sustain another "broken nose".

Quinth: "Okay, fine. We'll do this without the disinfector then."

It wasn't that Quinth was afraid of getting bopped on the 'nose' again. No, he's been in his fair share of brawls before. It was that something told him maybe this time he could catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar.

Unpinning Flag, and re-pocketing the injection, Quinth sat down on the ground next to the man.

Quinth: "Well, if you're absolutely sure there isn't anything you've done to piss someone off... completely sure? ...then I'm out of ideas. Crazy wiill be back too, he's not one to give up easily. I'm willing to bet there'll be others after you if Crazy's on your tail. He may be insane, but he doesn't go after anyone for no reason... there's usually some form of pay involved.

I'd recommend coming along with me. I can get you to safety. Now I know you don't know who I am, or probably who I'm even affiliated with since you didn't exactly show any understanding at the words "Limbo Authorities", and you looked at me like I was something you've never seen before..."

It'd been five years since Gaia and Limbo become allies, or rather, Limbo put them under their protection. Quinth was actually somewhat surprised he hadn't heard of them if he'd been living here during this time.

Quinth: "What do you say? Come with me? Or take your chances Crazy and more bounty hunters that are armed like him?"

It took flag a few moment to realize that the terms "Crazy" and "Limbo" were names... and not descriptors. Once that settled, the strange being in front of him seemed to make a little more sense.

What didn't make sense was that he had a bounty on his head.

Oh, he had plenty to have a bounty for... but not here. In fact it was not even possible for him to have a price on his head. He may not have figured out how he got to Gaia, but he had known that he was rather thorough about his exit of Sivoa.

Quinth's proposal was not a bad one considering that it was now highly likely that anyone who was in the library a few minutes ago would likely turn him in the second that they were questioned. If nothing else he could use the native inhabitant of Limbo as a living sheild.

"Fine. I'll follow." He said as he stood up wearily.

Quinth: "Alright, now it's just a matter of... shivot."

Quinth patted his pockets and sighed. His transportation charms had been taken away by Crazy, and it was a good fair distance to the transportation center in Gaia. More than a day's travel, in fact.

Quinth: "We have a ways to go, since that little jerk took my portal charms. You seem to know magic, but even if you did know how to go between realms, I doubt you could travel to a place you never heard of. We'll just have to take public transportation, and rest a little while here and there."

Flag shrugged at the magic comment and stuck his hands in his pockets. It was good that this so far nameless authority figure didn't assume that he was going to go on a limb for him, because he never had the intention to do so.

The name thing struck Flag as odd though. So did he fact that instead of trying to continue to peruse the crazed reptilian this assistant was now escorting him around.

"... so, if 'Crazy' is so dangerous a criminal why are you the only one after him?"

Quinth: "That's the thing, I'm not the only one after him. The problem is, he can freely teleport of his own ability, which makes him a pain in the a** to try and hunt down. Being able to read minds, he's also able to easily steal information about new locations to hide in to, so we can exactly corner him at several spots."

They passed a store, which had televisions in it's display. It was showing the scene in the area near the library, along with some Limboian soldiers in full armor. Their black and dark blue attire with gold trim seemed rather intimidating, not to mention some of the weaponry they carried. One of them was bieng interviewed, but he couldn't answer any questions.

The answer was a good one. It made logical sense to the Sivoan, so he didn't really pursue the subject further. When he passed the store with the TVs he glanced at them at first, and then did a double-take as he saw the event he may have somewhat been responsible for.

That's when he noticed that the beings, like the one he was now following, were not dressed the same. He wanted to ask about that as well, but figured that he would probably get another logical answer - truthful or not.

Instead he just followed silently in that creepy manner that only sorcerers seemed to do.

Walking, they did a good amount of that, up until they managed to find public transportation. Quinth studied the routes, and swore as he realized they just missed the last public bus. Fortunately, they were able to grab a taxi.

As he eyed the old fashioned pay meter rise up, he grumbled about how expensive transportation was on this world. Then they sat in relative silence for a while.

Finally....

Quinth: "The name's Quinth. Quinth Azlit. What's yours? I prefer knowing who I'm going to protect..."

Quinth had his hand out for a handshake. Okay, he may have just tried to tranq the guy a little while ago, but no reason he could'nt be civil now. Besides, HE didn't know about the tranquilizer.
