Ring Drop Question

I want to know, are Ring Drops completely random (as in you can get any of the 40 from any monster) or do certain monsters drop a couple of different types of rings (or more) ?

Sorry for double post, but I really want a concrete answer. Now, from my experiences, it does in fact seem to be quite random. But I could be wrong.

It doesn't seem to me that you can get all 40 rings from all monsters.
I keep getting the same ones from Shallow Seas all the time xp

Ohh well, thanks for answering my question. I mean after getting Coyote Spirit twice from the same type of monster (Outlaw Pup) I was getting a bit suspicious... sweatdrop

I remember a thread in the main forums that talked about which rings were dropped by which monsters, but I'm not sure I can find it again.

I've found a few threads that also list which rings monsters supposedly drop, and then I find out that I've gotten all sorts of different rings than they've listed off of those monsters so... sweatdrop

Check out the thread that lazy bonz gave the URL to earlier in the thread to see the sort of monsters you should go and kill for Bandage. Personally, I had such a hard time getting that that I actually went out and bought it, but you won't be able to do that for every ring forever unfortunately so...

At least in close beta and until november ring drops were affected by area. ^^;

Edit, that guide is either not complete or wrong, I got a fire rain from sea sprouts and a lot of rings that are not listed there =/

Yeah, I've gotten Ghost and Meat out of Ghost Lanterns. I think there were some other things too, but I PM'd the owner of the thread about some things they didn't have listed a while back.

It would not surprise me if the lists are incomplete.
They are compiled from people posting in the thread.

The only place I've ever gotten Bandage rings is in Shallow seas.
Several of them, all salvaged because I had one already. xp
