Avatar Live Action Film Director? You'll never guess.

So get this it will not be called Avatar, because there is another film coming out called Avatar.

So instead it will be called The Last Airbender, but guess who is directing the live action film? Mr. Twist himself. M. Night Shamalayn<
Yes it was announced that he will be taking on this project. What do you guys think? Is it wise? Is he trying to redeem himself after The Happening?

Don't get me wrong, he is a great director and had his moments, but an Avatar movie? What do you think?

Oh yeah, I heard about this a while back, and I think it's great. Being a fan of the show and M. Night, I think he'll do great with it. Im thinking he'll be able to capture the characters and the essence of the show. But then again, as with many adaptations, I think this one just might the potential to bomb.

I'm not familiar with the series, but I'm sure Shyamalan will be able to do a decent job. He has a good visual style, it's just that his writing abilities have kind of gotten stuck in a funk.

He's not as bad a director as people think -- and The Happening wasn't that bad!

I love him. He is an amazing director, I fell in love with Unbreakable and the Sixth Sense.

I would never diss a director unless they deserve it.

You're not super lame. The Happening is a good movie! Not the greatest film ever, but it's far from the worst.

It will be interesting to see how it comes out. I like most of M. Nights work.
