my brain waver to these opinions:
hikaru as a girl to being selfish when it comes to the one he likes and kaoru as the boy to being the sweeter one and protecting hikaru

kaoru as the girl as reflecting to the way he acts in the brother lovey~dovey scenes and hikaru as the guy for when...idk about that part

1) I don't believe either is the "girl" or "boy". >.> 2) Hikaru is more...well he's less likely to openly share his love for his brother. Kaoru is rather openly lovable towards his brother. Their couple dynamic is (I think): Hikaru-Seme, Kaoru-Uke. Does this help? ^^;

SnowWtch Kaoru is the girl. He's soft so spoken and sweet. Hikaru is definitely the guy. exactly what I was thinking :3

Ok, where does it say in the manga that Kaoru is gay? I'm pretty sure that he liked Haruhi but not enough to fight for her all the time (like what Hikaru and Tamaki do). That doesn't make him gay at all.

It gave me the idea that Kaouru is in fact gay. I think the creator later changed this, giving the story a twist!

Desdemona Winchcombe ... I don't think either of them would appreciate being called a girl. stare First of all they're not necessarily gay for each other - I believe in canon, it's an act. But homosexual couples do not work that way, ok? D: Sorry, I'm all late I kind of just joined a day or two ago but I agree with you.

Yeah Homosexual couples dont work like that. For me both are the boys... maybe one of them has more "girly" personality but i don`t think one of them should be considerate like the girl of the couple! 3nodding
