So by the key, you mean that you feel as if you understand why they did things, what they felt, and things like that then yes, I do understand you. But people develop nationalism by learning about their own countries or others. I'm not saying you have to know everything, but if you don't know things that happened, you can't feel them. If you don't know it existed, you can't feel it, it's just that simple. I don't know if we're not understanding each other or if you're saying that, because you said yourself you've never really studied. I'm not saying you have to know everything, obviously, but you can't just know of a country's existence and know it is all I'm saying. Learning what they're about does take some studying--culture more than history in present day of course.

Like, persay, it only takes me once to read it and I get it.
I've read a lot and I get it. In the situation that they were in at the time, after reading culture thises and thats, I got it.

- Read a specific subject

WHAT I DON'T DO:
- spend days and days and days at a time, as though I was studying for test rereading, taking notes and this and that.

WHAT I STILL GET OUT OF IT:
- A still excellent understanding.

And you cannot really deny that I don't know this or that or that I can't feel this or that.
After all, you're not me. So until you ARE me, then we can judge how good I am at whatever.
I just happen to have a different way of doing things that work for me.
What might work for you might not work for me, and vise-versa.

I see now, I suppose I was getting wires crossed there~ It was just how it sounded. However what I was saying was that without knowing something exists, you can't feel any way about it, that was the fact. You can't be sad or happy for something you didn't know happened--that's what I meant. Of COURSE I can't say what you think or feel, because that's impossible. Just as you cannot understand and feel just as the Russian people did and do at certain times in history and present. Until you ARE them. We can have an idea, but no one is "better" than anyone else at understanding. Some people can get emotional over it (I know I do) but it doesn't mean we can understand things better than anyone else like you say you can.

And DUH, I can't know what others have felt about something, if I don't know if it existed, I'm not retarded or gifted with that sort of thing.

Some people aren't good at understanding curtain things. xD
Like the word "No" means "no". (my sisters for example)
There are something I know I will never get no matter how many time or different ways it's explained to me.
And I know I'm not so unique, I know I'm not the only person like this.

But it's defiantly true that some people have more of a talent for History, or math, psychology, Physical Fitness and the Arts than other people do.


ANYWAY, this is suppose to be a Hetalia thread, not a debating-a-persons-ability-to-comprehend-stuff thread, I already got in trouble for posting non-hetalia related stuff.

Back to topic per say, one pet-peeve I have is people that think Ivan is evil. Also people who hate a character/country just because it gets in the way of their OTP. I say that because on 4chan there was a rant going about whether people hates Lithuania or China because they liked him with Russia. I don't see how you could hate either of those characters honestly, but come on. D:

I just happen to not like other characters, therefore I don't like any pairings involving that particular country.
