Without God in people's lives, you are always going to have that thirst for justice, and salvation. I strongly disagree! I believe that religons should be excepting of other religons because if you think about it some of the main religons of the world have the same basic belief. And saying that one religon is the most important religon in the world is merely prevoking other people who's religons are different to argue with you. Not all religons are perfect because no one is perfect. Is there truely any religon where they haven't had someone do something wrong? No there isn't because the world isn't perfect. Saying that your religon is best only means that you won't coexist with other religons. Like with Hittler, he claimed to be Christain(Or some religon like that. Idk. I hate history class), but he was insane! Just because he did something stupid doesn't mean whatever religon he was it bad. It means that he as a person was bad. All religons have someone like that. Some may not be as powerful, but they're still messed up. No religon is perfect so I think that religons should at least make a good effort to try and coexist with each other and understand each other.

Hitler was not a Christan nor was he insane. An insane man could not of accomplished what he did. He simple understood that some people need religion in order to control themselves, but was an atheist himself.
Other than that I agree with you. I strongly hope for the day when religions may coexist, but all of the religions stopping us from doing that have tons of blood on their hands. I also have a strong need for religion to be totally separate from government, something my country, the United States of America that claim that separation, has not yet accomplished. Once their is no struggle for a dominate religion in politics we can start the process of acceptance.
If someone wants to have a Bible and pray at school, let them. If someone wants to bow to the Kabah during math class, let them.
Respect is a word that little people know the meaning of in till they have lost most of a hope of regaining it. Children need to be taught that it's not right to judge someone for wearing a Hijab or kippah just as it's not right to look at the color of their skin. This goes in to telling people how to raise their children, such as not being afraid for the word sex, which is off topic so I shall stop here.

Like in schools. I think that not having catholic or other 'only one religion' schools would help stop people from thinking that catholicism is better than other religions.

You can't be serious. I'm a Pagan, a Witch. Does that make me any less important to bettering this world than you are? I was a Roman Catholic, but it was by force. They have a very hard time accepting people as they truly are instead of what they want them to be.
As for coexisting, we can if we hard at it. It is not a fight for the weak-willed and brain-washed masses. It is for the strong, the independent, and the brave. Or maybe we are foolish. That is still up to debate. LOL |
