Spring Observations

Green slipped in from under the white –
Splashed in early other colours,
And gave up lambs, who
Bleated tirelessly on the subject.

Screams from the local park
Told of newly playful children, with
Bleary fathers; clattering mothers,
Senses distracted by
Precocious blossom.

And the younger men perked up at
Early bosoms once again on display –
More blossom – audacious blossom –
Sexual selection now back on stage.

It was happening with the birds,
Only there was more decorum,
More order –
A greater sense of purpose; unwitting duty.

I turned over the soil – warming
Under the cautious sun –
Yellow still nubile,
Though coping with its shyness.
My first beads of sweat were oddly ambivalent:
Surging vigour forcing out the
Stubborn winter indolence.

Inside, a warming smile worked
Up towards my mouth, lips, eyes.
The kitchen window rattled:
Lunch was ready.

it's Summer now and its time to have fun

why is it tht when u give someone ur heart they break it...why is it tht when they break it they try to mend it..why is it tht when they try to mend it u let them...why is it tht when u start to think they fixed it they break it again...why is it tht after everything u luv them still...why is it tht ur never smart enuff to let go until someone shos u just how much of a jerk they are and how badd u look b/c of them...but even after all tht...why is it tht even tho they did this u still feel like u love them or u can forgive them???
