4597 AD - The Tetrian Galaxy is peaceful. Interplanetary travel is common. Trade is thriving, as are the arts, and people in general.

4632 AD - The trade vessel Amalthea is ransacked by pirates, her crew slaughtered.

4633 AD - Pirate attacks become more common. Interplanetary travel slowly grinds to a halt. Trade slows, and the economy takes a plunge.

4681 AD - The Tetrian Trade Federation mounts a full-scale attack on the pirates. They win, and are acknowledged as heroes by the general public. The pirates fade into Wild Space, and aside from a few inconsequential attacks, are never heard from again.

4690 AD - A pirate lord known as Remeus Ironshank amasses a crew of 630 men and makes his way to the seat of the TTF, pillaging the helpless planets in his path. He is taken out by the TTF’s agents, but not before he gets to the capitol and murders their president, Shuff Tardlo. The vice president, Krishth Paanereen, takes control of the Federation.

4700 AD - On the first day of the new century, Krishth Paanereen declares himself ruler of the Great Tetrian Empire. He has all of the Federation heads assassinated, and sends his own agents to each one of the key planets in the galaxy.

4701 AD - Word of the new Empire has reached every corner of the galaxy. Emperor Paanereen has every star system successfully under his thumb. He instates a system of harsh laws, and the penalty for breaking most of them is imprisonment or death.

4705 AD - A group of miners from the outer ring rise up against their governor and take control of a single ship. After assassinating the governor, they take to the stars. They go to the edge of civilized space and set of a base, and give themselves a simple name. The Resistance.

4706 AD - The Resistance has grown larger, and now has a fleet to call its own. They launch attacks on the Empire.

4707 AD - Emperor Paanereen declares war on the Resistance and sends the best of his elite soldiers to find their bases and ultimately destroy them.

001 - Basically follow the guild's rules and Gaia's ToS. Also, no cybering, godmodding, etc. Do not post in the profile thread unless I tell you to. You can post in OOC even if you aren't a part of the roleplay.

002 - PM character profiles to moi. Title it with "Pigfarts is on MARS". Fill out the form in its entirety. Oh, and don't change the coding. Don't worry about fleshing out the character profiles so much. They're really just for reference. You don't have to put every little thing in there (though, if it is some big major plot twist type thing, you should let me know in the message, off to the side or something).

003 - Try to post at least a paragraph per post. Also, keep OOC in some kind of bracket or whatnot. Oh, and proper grammar/spelling/etc is a must. All the time.

004 - If you are playing as a species other than human, you'll have to fill out one of the species forms if it hasn't been done already. You may also need to fill out a planet form along with the species form. PM those with the same title as the profiles. Please be as detailed as possible. You can fill out a form for a species from a movie or book series or whatever. I don't care. If you want to be it and it isn't on the list, then just send me a form. I still reserve the right to refuse certain species (RACIST!), but most likely I'll just tweak them a bit. Oh, and you can't fill out a form for a mythological creature (vampire, neko, etc), but you CAN try to trick me by filling out a form for an original species that has the qualities of said mythological creature (cruentian, felinid, etc).

Basic Setting - The Tetrian Galaxy is large, and is divided into four quadrants: Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma. It holds many planets, and many different species other than humans. For a basic map of the galaxy, look here: Tetrian Galaxy map. Wild Space is still a part of the galaxy; it is just not as maintained as the other rings. Due to the distance from the center and the lack of resources, it would be too much of an inconvenience to police them regularly. Surrounding the galaxy is Deep Space. There is not another galaxy around for millions-if not billions-of light years.
The timetime is divided into different eras. The Terran era (001AD-2900AD), the Space era (2908-3381), the Federation era ( 3381AD-4700AD), and finally the Imperial era (4700AD-present). This rough timeline is based on the timeline adopted by the Trade Federation, and later by the Empire. Other planets and species may have their own timelines which deviate from this.

Planets

Arres Prime
Location: Inner ring, Alpha Quadrant
Function: Government
Starport: Large and fully functional, fully equipped to restock and repair ships of any class.
Stats
Length of Day: 23 Standard Hrs
Length of Year: 321 Days
Terrain: Urban
Temperature: Temperate
Atmosphere: A mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, and other gasses and pollutants that humans and similar species can breathe unassisted.
Hydrosphere: The planet is covered 47% by land.
History
Originally the main HQ for the Tetrian Trade Federation, it became the seat of power for the new Empire following Emperor Paanereen's rise to power.

Doradus IV
Location: Outer ring, Beta Quadrant
Function: Mining
Starport: Small, mainly equipped for packaging goods.
Stats
Length of Day: 36 Standard Hrs
Length of Year: 345 Days
Terrain: Rocky
Temperature: Hot
Atmosphere: Mainly composed of sulfur and other highly flammable elements. An environmental suit is necessary for most lifeforms.
Hydrosphere: The planet is 78% land, most of which is mountains or quarries.
History
A humble mining planet on the edge of the galaxy. It was here that the rebellion started.

Frigus
Location: Wild Space, Delta Quadrant
Function: Rebel Base
Starport: Small, but fully equipped to handle all of the Resistance's ships.
Stats
Length of Day: 19 Standard Hrs
Length of Year: 387 Days
Terrain: Rocky
Temperature: Cold. A thermal suit is needed by most species to survive outside of temperature controlled areas.
Atmosphere: A mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, and other gasses and pollutants that humans and similar species can breathe unassisted.
Hydrosphere: 17% land. Most of the water, however, is covered by thick sheets of ice.
History
It was largely ignored by the Federation and the Empire, due to its lack of resources. This made it the perfect place for the Resistance to set up their base.

Kelewan
Location: Outer ring, Delta quadrant
Function: Government
Starport: no
Stats
Length of Day: 18 Standard Hrs
Length of Year: 367 Days
Terrain: Most of the planets landmass is covered in river crossed plains, ancient forests and vast deserts
Temperature: Temperate
Atmosphere: A mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, and other gases
Hydrosphere: 54% land
History
Kelewan was once part of the Trade Federation but after Emperor Paanereen took over, it was decided by the High Council of Kentosani that Kelewan should remain independent. After Kelewans voluntary removal from the Empire their history resumed its predictable and boring pattern with nothing exciting happening except for the occasional war between rival Cho'ja queens and the occasional visit from the Empire or the Resistance, the later of which the queens secretly supply. Species
Human
Planet of Origin: Earth
Tech Level: Space
Sentient: Yes
Habitat
Humans thrive in temperate climates, and cannot operate to their full capacity at temperatures much higher than 100°C or below freezing without the aid of environmental suits.
Physical
Humans are bipedal primates. Humans have a highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and problem solving. The average height of an adult human is about 1.5 to 1.8 m tall, although this varies significantly from place to place. The average mass of an adult human is 54–64 kg for females and 76–83 kg for males. The hue of human skin and hair is determined by the presence of pigments called melanins. Human skin hues can range from very dark brown to very pale pink. Human hair ranges from white to brown to red to most commonly black.
Culture
Human culture is very diverse, encompassing a wide array of arts, religions, philosophies, languages, and other things. They have a very rich history. One striking quality humans have is that they are, for the most part, greatly adaptable and able to absorb and assimilate pieces of other cultures into their own.

Drani
Planet of Origin: Frigus
Tech Level: Primitive
Sentient: Yes
Habitat
Cold, rugged climates are where this species thrives.
Physical
Drani are large quadrupeds with broad backs and thick arms. They are covered in a layer of blubber, and then another layer of thick, wooly fur. Their skin in black to absorb heat, but their fur is white to give them camouflage in their natural environment. Their faces are blunt with barely protruding snouts, with four almond shaped eyes arrayed above two nostril flaps. They have wide square jaws filled with sharp, jagged teeth. They communicate through the use of pheromones, which are released through their pores. Emotions and ideas are also conveyed with the aid of four antennae sprouting from the top of their heads.
Culture
Not much is known about Drani culture, though they appear to be sentient. All attempt made by the Resistance to form an alliance have failed, and ended usually with the Resistance envoy being killed or tortured and then killed. It has been made clear that the Drani do not like the Resistance. They constantly lay traps for Resistance soldiers out on the ice, and have been known to mount raids on the Resistance stronghold.

Cho'ja
Planet of Origin: Kelewan
Sentient: Yes
Tech Level: Primitive
Habitat
The Cho'ja can thrive in practically any environment so long as the air quality is good and the temperatures are above freezing at all times.
Physical
Cho'ja are highly intelligent ant like humanoids with deep green shells that in general grow to be the size of a small horse.
All Cho'ja also have large almost transparent wings that when not in use are draped over the body which in truth only hides the decorative designs on their lower body that serve as library's of information on that individual.
Culture
To outsiders it is obvious that Cho'ja society is organized in much the same manner as that of the ants found on earth but because of the differences in language and the laws prohibiting outsiders from entering their beautiful cities almost nothing is known about their culture. Tecnology
ARC-170 Starfighter
Type: Starship
Era: Early Federation era
Stats: The ARC-170 possesses powerful weaponry. It carries six proton torpedoes, and its wingtip-mounted medium laser cannons are unusually large for a starfighter. However, it is quite slow. Durable armor and shielding, as well as two tail guns, helps the ARC-170 to survive when surrounded by swarms of smaller, faster enemy fighters.
History: Created by the TTF to protect the outer ring against pirates. Well, actually, I got it straight from Star Wars lolshutup.
Appearance: User Image

Semi-automatic Rifle
Type: Firearm
Era: Terran era
Stats: A type of rifle that fires a single bullet each time the trigger is pulled, automatically ejects the spent cartridge, chambers a fresh cartridge from its magazine, and is immediately ready to fire another shot. They may be operated by a number of mechanisms, all of which derive their power from the explosion of the powder in the cartridge that also fires the bullet.
History: The origins of rifling are difficult to trace, but some of the earliest practical experiments seem to have occurred in Europe during the fifteenth century.
Appearance: User Image

Blaster
Type: Firearm
Era: Space era-Imperial era
Stats: The weapons' light outputs can travel at the velocity of light, and the weapons can be precisely targeted. Their energy output can be controlled -- high-power for lethal outcomes or cutting and low-power for nonlethal outcomes.
History: There are many different models, and they are still being improved upon in the present day, but the earliest blaster was created in the early Space era. The actual inventor is not known. Blasters have since become standard issue for most military personnel and are commonplace in present day society.
Appearance: User Image

Gun Saber
Type: Firearm/Sword
Era: Imperial Era
Stats: The Gun saber is a sword that can move around parts to become a sword
History: The Humans invented it when war broke out. There was a common need for guns but what if physical combat was engaged, solution is a sword that can be a gun as well
Appearance: User Image left is gun form right is sword form

Anti gravitational devices
Type: Accessory
Era: Imperial Era
Stats: When force or energy of most kinds is applied it grants the user gravitational resistance. Ex: If someone is falling and they have the device on there fingers when they snap, when they land they are uninjured. Or can be used to climb up walls like a spider.
History: The Empire originally invented it but Jake was able to get a hold of the tech
Appearance: Small devices, about the size of wireless mics that are placed on the thumb and middle finger. Small waves of blue energy are produced when activated. Can also be deployed as a small disc for an area effect.

Drew awoke with a start. Damn dreams. Opening his eyes, Drew would find himself face to face with the Ship's engine. He epp'ed, before pushing his dirty hands over his mouth. The dark shape looked like a gun pointed at him for a second there. Shaking away the jitter, Drew squeezed himself out of the tight space, to find himself in a Resistance Starport. There was a fleet of maybe 10 Cruisers, and numerous other vessels. Drew was the mechanic on the ship he called, "Santa Maria." Looking over the the slightly chipped paint of Santa Maria, Drew would smirk before tapping it with his wrench.

"Where is that Captain?" Drew asked no one in particular, looking around the port. As he looked, Drew took notice of an oil leak in the ship right next to him. "AHH!" He exclaimed, rushing over to the mishap. He pulled on his working glove, and dipped them in the oil. He smeared a line on each Cheek bone. This was a ritual he always did before working. Get black oil, and put it on his face. He pulled some items from his belt, and set to work, apoxying the leak, and then flushing the system. This was a job that took the best of mechanics at least Twenty minutes, while drew did it in just Six. Drew then peered around as his work was finished, still searching for the Cap'n.

Zach Cross [fancy layout pending]

The captain in question was up on the bridge, addressing the new recruits. They got a couple every week or so, but the turnout today was particularly large. Zach paced back and forth in front of them, looking each of them over. "As you know, we, unlike imperial organizations, do not deny anyone membership based on skill or merit. All you need to join us is the will to fight for the good of this galaxy. But of course, you all know that, because you're here. You've been selected from the resistance's top recruits to serve on the flag ship however your skills may best be applied." He had given the speech numerous times, and had it all memorized by heart. "Do not take your position lightly, for now, more than ever, the fate of the Tetrian Galaxy and all of its people rest in your hands." The closing statement fell over the room, leaving a hush in its wake. He dismissed the recruits with a wave of his hand, and they left to go about their tasks. He didn't bother assigning them to any certain departments; they would know where their skills could be best used. He may pull one or two of them into special units if he was particularly impressed with their skill... One of the new recruits in particular had caught his attention. He had personally requested her presence on the flag.

He caught her as she was leaving the bridge. "Miss Godfrey, a word, if I may." She nodded curtly, remaining silent. He took the cue to continue. "It is my understanding that you are a human-cybernetic hybrid. Is this not so?"

She nodded. "Yes, this is true."

"It was the Empire who made you this way. In fact, they saved your life. So tell me, why do you stand before me now?"

Her expression remained the same indifferent air. "I never wanted to be like this," she said simply. He remained silent, but no other information was forthcoming.

"Very well. Go about your business, then." She saluted, and left the bridge. He made a mental note to keep an eye on her. Keep your friends close... Zach sighed, and turned to the bridge crew. "Alright, let's go."

Drew would wander throughout the port, Helping novice mechanics figure the ropes, and older ones with problems they had. His skill was undeniable. All the Pilots have heard his name, and all the Mechanics as well. They respected him greatly, even if he was just Twenty-Three. Then again, Age wasn't a matter in the resistance. They took anyone willing to fight against the Empire. The weaker ones deserved the respect of the Resistance, for they were willing to stand even if it killed them. This was the Ideal of the resistance, Standing up for yourself, even if you die in the process.

Drew, when he was finished with helping, Began wandering around the port. He made his way through mess hall, winding his way inbetween people. He then searched through the hallways, calling out, "Zachyyyyy."

He eventually found his way into the bridge. Instead of blatantly walking in, Drew peeked over the corner, and said, "PSSSTTTT!" This would attract Zach's attention, as the man stood not to far from him. He wanted to know when they would be heading out of a recon mssion again. Those were Drew's favorite.
