I'm new to Cosplaying! A lil' help?

Well, I need something simple to dress in, that maybe I could also wear as normal clothes every once in a while. I was thinking Namine from Kingdom Hearts, since she only wears a simple white dress and sandals.
But I was also wondering if there were any characters that I don't need a wig for. My hair is short, about shoulder length, and is medium golden brown. Actually when it's straightened out, its cut similarly to Karin Maaka's from Chibi Vampire, just not the same type of bangs, and it isn't cut at such an extreme upwards angle. So.. maybe its not so similar? Im not sure. But once again, any ideas, please?

I seem to recognize that Nana girl. Maybe I have seen the show in passing...?
If my hair was a few inches longer, I could be Kasumi. I did always like her.
As for Medusa~ I've never watched Soul Eater, but I looked her up. If I was to cosplay as her, I would need a wig.
