So I met this guy at school two days ago, and I started liking him that day. Yesterday he asked me out but i tried to avoid the question. And he thought I meant yes. Today I told him I wanted to wait at least a month to get to know him better- and I thought he understood. But he put his hand on my shoulder quite a few times... Did he understand what I meant? D: And if he didn't, how do I tell him what I meant? I mean, where it comes out easily from me but he understands and doesn't take it the wrong way?

Well He probably understood,But now that he knows that you like him and wanna wait atleast a month he wanna get a little taste of how it feels like to be a couple.I don't think him wrapping his arm around ur shoulder is such a big deal

I guess like Madame said it might not be too big a deal to some, but if you feel uncomfortable or if you're hesitant about leading him on, then that's all that matters. With something this fast, then it's entirely possible he just likes you because of how you look. Try to hint subtly at it, but if he's just ignoring what you say, then maybe it's good you're not wanting to date him quite yet!
