~[More.than.More]~ I am a traveler and the major thing is that i have a way to get in touch with loved ones or business aquantances while i am there. but i have no way of knowing which is better. buy i dual sim quad band that i can use world wide, but i will have to rent like 30 each week and i would rather use that for other things. Upside is that it comes with unlimited 3gs throughout the country or should i just rent a phone. 35 a week, but none of my comforts. *another issue is my converter plugs ill need. or do u rent a computer?*
Essentially, if you have an IPhone, or another device that is a phone with skype installed on it, you could actually use that as your phone and fill up minutes with that...assuming that you're around a wifi connection. You could also use skype to contact people with a computer.
With 3G, you might as well go with the dual sim band option. The downside is that you would have to rent a sim in order to do that and I am not really sure what the going rate is with that. The connections to your computer would be whatever your dual band sim phone would use, and more than likely that would be provided when you buy it and usb.
