So, Nexus has been holding onto the first clarinet he ever owned, for sentimental value. Then he realized that the $800 value if it outweighs the sentimental value by quite a bit. So he decided to sell in on eBay.
But, now, see, here's the thing. (Cue shift to first person)
I'm a first time seller, and thus, have no positive feedback, which means NO ONE WANTS TO BUY MY ISH. And that's a problem, 'cause I would really love 800 bucks right about now.
So, uh, any of you guys, who sell, have sold, are selling, have been sold on eBay, have any advice on just how in the hell I'm supposed to sell this old thing?

I'm an eBay virgin too, sorry ): Maybe add something in the description about you being new, hence no feedback? Or lots of photos to prove it's condition?

I also put that my clarinet is one for advancing students, who've been playing for a year or two, and all of the achievements I had while playing it (and there are a lot).
Still no bids, though. ]:

I'm not sure if you will be able to sell something for $800 when you have no feedback and are new. I know I wouldn't buy such an expensive item from someone that didn't have at least a few comments about their validity. It's worse to get scammed out of $800 than $40 or so.
I've sold a few things on eBay, but they were textbooks, so it was under $100, and it wasn't hard to do. I might suggest that you wait until you have a other few things to sell. You could always sell your textbooks on eBay at the end of the semester or find some other junk you don't want anymore.

I'd never rip someone off, but they've no way of knowing that, and I really do need the money. That's going towards some new equipment I need. Then I can put the rest away.
Hmmm...I think I have a way around this. Maybe.
My girlfriend has bought and sold a bunch of stuff on eBay. She has like 100% feedback, so, I think I may just sell through her account, and change the paypal account, and whatnot.

Or you can see how much it would sell for on Craigslist to someone around the area. Either would probably work.

Y'know, until you have to spend 800 bucks for an old clarinet that you wouldn't play. xD

I'm a master at ebay. It's a b***h to sell. I got my feedback up by being a buyer at first.

Stream Line Ego I'm a master at ebay. It's a b***h to sell. I got my feedback up by being a buyer at first. I'm seriously considering penny buying a hundred things I don't need. Or mailing my clarinet back home to see if my old band director can sell it to any high school students, 'cause as of today, I need to sell it; an essential piece of my equipment is broken, and it's making playing really, REALLY difficult. /:
