Best Friend Vs. Boyfriend :[ help?

So this friend of mine goes by the name Cydney, and is a guy. I have been friends with him for 4 years. About a year ago, he admitted to being in love with me when I was with my ex boyfriend. Anywho, I broke up with that boyfriend because he moved. Cydney and I got very close, then he lost his phone and kind of disapeared for a while (I met him at an amusement park so he didn't right by me, about a half hour away). Anywho, I got another boyfriend, whom I like a lot. Cydney got a new phone... I had moved on. He didn't... Now won't talk to me because I have a boyfriend that is not him. I realyl miss his friendship, he was like a big brother to me. Any advice? Please and thank you.

Edit: before Cydney disapeared and lost his phone. we were NOT dating. Just close and had small feelings for each other (in my case) Plus, he told me nothing. I went three months without hearing a single word from him, and took that as a "move on."

Tell him this. Tell him how much you miss him, and that you're sorry that things aren't going to work out between you two, but that you still really want to be friends. I'm sure if he really cares about you, he'll at least try and understand.

He didn't have a computer..
and we weren't dating; just close and kind of liked each other(in my case). Plus, he disapeared without even telling me anything. I went three months without hearing a word from him, so I figured I should move on.

Well dang what did he expect from you? Did he expect for you to sit around an knit?
He could have called from a different phone at least.

Tell him that you are sorry that you moved on, and that you want to be "just friends". Nothing more.
Be firm, with it don't lead him on.

Be careful with what you say.
It could turn back on you.
you never know, he could find out your current boyfriends number and start drama.
It's happened to a bunch of my friends so do be careful.

If he does not listen to you, like if he keeps trying to make moves tell him that he needs to respect your wishes.
If he still does not listen then break ties with him.
He isn't worth keeping around if he isn't going to respect you.
