I'm making a costume for my friend

It's a ballarina/grim reaper costume. It's basically going to be a a black ballerina dress, with lace sleeves, and a velvet hooded cape with a skeleton broach. We wanted it to have an old-school monster theme, but with an interesting new spin, so, Grim reaper ballerina.
We bought a corset and shoes, but everything else I'll be sewing myself. Fabric is expensive by the way.
She's plus size, and usually wears mens clothing, but she's really pretty and I've always thought she would look real nice in some proper fitted clothing. So for her costume I decided to make her a very pretty, very flattering dress. Something she wouldn't normally wear but she could still feel good in.

It's not anywhere near done yet, we only got the tutu, corset, and shoes, but when we put it on, she couldn't stop talking about how pretty she looked.
I can't wait to finish.

And that's how I made someone smile today. :]

So far I put a picture on facebook and everyone's complementing her and telling her how cute she looks. That's gotta be good for her self esteem. :]
