Town names and pokemon names are in their romanized versions of the Japanese names, so they're a bit hard to memorize whenever it goes like "Trainer Whitney sent out Ichigaruvial" (not a real pokemon) or some BS, I have to think a bit as to who that is exactly.
Trainer names are translated for the most part. Dialogue that isn't in TVs is translated, all story events are translated, gyms translated, elite four translated. Everything essential is basically translated. Like I said there were these two sport stadiums that weren't, but there were trainers within you could battle that were.

Omg I'm so excited for this spring. I don't want to play a ROM, it just doesn't feel right. D; But I have a really good feeling about this generation. CAN'T WAIT.

Yeah I figured they wouldn't have Pokemon names translated. I'm terrible at knowing pokemon names now, I can't imagine learning it in Japanese. xD
I'll just wait til next year for the English. smile
