♭♮♯ Sleeping wonder lies to me, and the lies are sweet. Is it particularly bad if you don't consume the 'recommended' calorie intake for yourself? I mean, I have a 'recommended' amount, saying I should consume 1,800 - 2,150 calories a day (as a non-athlete). However, I don't consume that, really, ever. Today I ate a little more than I usually due (period :/) and I only made it up to 1,171 calories. Not to mention, I did some cardiovascular activity today (not a lot, but enough) and that typically burns calories. I'm not underweight, I don't have an eating disorder, and my dad has the same problem, so we assume it's another one of those things I inherited from him. Is there anything particularly unhealthy about this? I'm only wondering because some people have told me I don't eat enough. ♩♪♫♬ Music is sung with simple words, and simple words can save the world. ♯♮♭

As long as you are not underweight and getting all your vitamins and minerals, you're fine!
Your calorie intake should be roughly equal the the calories you use. Too many calories and you gain weight, too little and you starve. So if you're a generally inactive person, you probably only need around 1,000.
Just be sure you are getting those vitamins and minerals! Take a supplement if you have too!

I'm anorexic and bulimic and I get about 100-400 calories a day on a normal day. On a binge day I go up to about 1500.
But I think te right calOrie intake is like 1200 for my age at least

It isn't worth it, trust me. I hope you're getting some help for that too.

As long as your healthy, not getting dizzy or anything like that, then you're fine. I eat basically the same amount as you and I'm an athlete and run a few miles every day, and I rarely get sick, not underweight, or anything like that, so I think you're fine.
If you're really concerned about it, see a doctor/dietition.

As long as you are a healthy weight, I don't see why it would be a problem. Some people just have different appetites from others. 3nodding

Really as long as it's over 1,000 a day, you're fine. There are formulas and crap that'll tell you exactly how much you should be taking in a day, but it varies from person to person... and as long as you're not starving yourself, you're fine. If you feel healthy and are healthy, you're doing okay for yourself. However, if you eat a low calorie diet and work out for hours a day, that might be bad because then your body can't really recover from the workout.
