The house at the end of Briar Brook Lane had been quiet for so long, almost everyone had forgotten the horrific events that had taken place there. No one dared step foot towards it since the grizzly tragedy that befell upon a team of amateur paranormal investigators. The news explained it as a small isolation issue gone wrong when each member was found strangled, beaten, mangled, and destroyed -- by the hands of their own teammates. Ever since the gruesome murder of little Annie Rouge, it had been a paranormal hot spot for people wanting to find solid evidence of the supernatural at work.

The stories tell of a young girl born into poverty and orphaned shortly after, with little to no hope of survival. Until the mysterious yet tragic death of her seventh guardian, her health started to turn around, only to be struck down in her youth by her eighth guardian, whom so had been sentenced to a nearby sanitarium for further analysis. The woman claimed the child was pure evil, and manifested ways to try and "scare her nannies to death", literally. Despite the claims being closely in comparison with the descriptions of the crime scenes concerning the seven women, the court shook off the notions and let her claim insanity. They found the body of little Annie cut into pieces and stuffed in an upstairs closet where she had spent most of her time brushing her long caramel hair in the mirror.

The legends of the town say they can hear the child laughing as she is playing in her upstairs bed room, doors slamming, "menacing" laughter, and a darker voice that growls if you get too close to the home. The only documented evidence of such stories was retrieved from the team's busted video cameras and film that were found wrapped around one of the crew member's necks. While the actual footage is unclear, the people of the community still believe the house to be haunted, or even cursed.

Since the investigation of the late paranormal crew, a series of professionals have been rounded up from all over to actually prove these theories and stories. Will they come out victorious?? Or have they finally met their match with the ghost of Annie Rouge?

- The Psychic - Gaelle H. Fornier

Timid, and a bit quirky, the psychic has had nothing but turmoil her entire life. The only luck she's ever known is bad luck, and that gifts don't always come with good bearings. She considers her powers to be a curse, Despite her dark past, she has come to terms with The Psychologist and actually grows into a sort of obsession with her.

No one could be more calm and collected as she is. The Psychologist is always in tune with her feelings and everyone elses for that matter. She is a good listener by nature and uses logic and understanding to overcome every problem she faces. She has made it her duty to turn a cold shoulder on love, and her business to care. She has secretly developed feelings for The Psychic but dares not show them in order to keep the job she loves.

- The Skeptic -

Agnostic and cynical, the skeptic is as broad as an open book. The outside is gruff and stoic, almost apathetic. She was hired on as a hand in keeping the energy to an earthly level, but her real motive was the pay check.

- The Enthusiast -

The name says it all. Anything and everything paranormal is her life. She has made it her solemn vow to catch one authentic piece of footage to prove that there is life after death -- for some, at least. She tries to avoid The Skeptic and her negative comments, making herself believe that they will find this young spirit who she thinks so desperately needs communication.

- The Scientist - Jean Artimus Du'Bont

Hired on as a hand in helping The Psychologist keep sanity among the group and to try and debunk anything they might catch on audio or visual. Secretly she is interested in seeing something with her own eyes, and is almost as excited as The Enthusiast. However, she remains reserved and stern until that time comes.

Filled with worldly experience and social grace, she got into this gig by being just that. Being a friend of the head of this event, she got in on terms that she could lend some homely advice and stage as a sort of shoulder if things got too out of hand. She is neither skeptic, nor fully believes in the stories, but she is definitely interested in seeing just what the commotion was all about.

- No godmoding, no puppeteering, you should know that one.
- No killing unless it's your own character.
- Gore is awesome.
- Not a whole lot of mushy. I personally just don;t like mushy. I think it ruins things, sometimes. This setting just doesn't call for mushy.
- The relationships are not set in stone. PLEASE Please be creative.

- Posts need to be at least two paragraphs long. I'll admit one paragraph, that's five sentences minimum folks, if writer's block is involved.
- Be courteous to other players.
- Please try and keep everyone in the same room, or if we split up, split up in pairs, if possible. Don't be alone. It just doesn't make sense unless you're going to be absent from the role play for a while.
- Before you leave for forever, please notify someone. You will be replaced if you leave and don't tell anyone.
- Be dramatic. No, dramatic does not equal mushy.

- Mind you these are human beings. That means no special cyborg/kung fu/super human/crap. The only person in this role play that should have any abnormal abilities would be the Psychic. Please leave that as such.
- Swearing is okay. Just don't make it a habit.
- Make your profiles pop out. Give them background stories, lives, personalities. Give them life. <3

The form is in the making of a Job Application, as you will be playing these people, you will create their job application as they sent it in to be accepted for this study. Be creative, and reasonable, whilst filling this out. Like a normal job application, do not use any color but black, blue, or red(normal ink pen colors).
