WOW so much has happened since I posted here last!

Got married, got divorced... been back home with my parents since October, 2010.

Well, I started dating a new fellow on January 14th, 2011. He's AMAZING! But he's in the Drum Corps with the Marines and lives about 30 minutes away via the D.C. Metro.

I just got a new job that I start on Monday, and FINALLY it's a full-time job! $15 an hour, woo!

AND I'll be starting school in the Fall. I applied for full-time not thinking that the BLM (new job) would get back to me, but then after I successfully applied to George Mason for full-time school, they contacted me! So I'll be going back only part-time, still 1-3 classes a week, probably one or two online or weekend classes, one night class.

So... between work, school, the boyo, and my family... this seemingly leaves 0 hours in the day for a workout.

I was thinking I'd get up at 5 or 6 am to workout, shower and then get to work around 7 or 8, work until 3-4 pm, then either go to class if I have one that day or go downtown to see Matt if I don't. That would mean I'd be in class until about 7pm, or downtown until about 11pm.

o-o

I guess if it's a day that I have class I could leave working out until after I get home. I'm just worried about having enough hours in the day! I've never had this much on my plate before!

Sounds like your day will be fully packed. I know how it is! Between work, school, and taking care of my fiance, I realize that 24 hours in a day is not a lot.

You know what helped me? Where you work/go to school, instead elevators, walk the stairs if you can swing it with time. Just until you can get your schedule figured out to fit in a small workout here or there. What kind of job is it? If it's a desk/office job, perhaps look into getting a workout ball to sit on for a little while.

If I'm reading correctly, you might be riding the metro a lot? I'm not SUPER familiar with the metro (my fiance had to explain it to me several times) but instead of taking the closest station, try the next one, just go get a few more minutes of walking in? :3. I know enough about the Metro that you need red, blue, orange and green and have them all match up but yeah.

The metro is the least of my worries. xD I like to go straight to his stop because it is a straight shot, and since it's downtown, I don't want to do a lot of walking around especially by myself. @_@ Not the safest. xD He usually comes to meet me, but he can't every time if I'm early, haha.

Once school starts though I'm going to buy a bike and ride it to and from school whenever I can, if the weather permits. Outside of that I think I'll take walks during my breaks and things like that. :] Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, walking around downtown alone isn't the safest, especially if it's late. :3

I didn't even think of a bike, that's a great idea. It's a great way to burn calories and get some good exercise! Does your school have a health center? My school doesn't (well one does but I only take one class there) but if it did, I know I would take advantage of the gym equipment during breaks :3

If you have even a 45 minute gap between classes or work, do what I do, and hit the student gym. Even if you're just hitting the treadmill really fast. If you don't have a student gym, go to a stairwell and do stairs for 10-15 minutes. I'll tell you one thing about stairs, it will work your legs and butt to death but you'll look hot. smile

I do get up on Tuesday and Thursday and go running and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I try to focus on upper body and core.
