Pawniard's glare reaped a tear into Mewoth's focus. Aar could hear the metal cutting through the air rushing towards Meowth, but he couldn't do a thing, and Meowth was in no condition to take any serious blows. "Twist'd, block your shoulder! Becareful!" Aar hated to see Twist'd get hurt, because he knew in the end Twist'd would die for Aar's sake, and if Aar lacks in his judgement, he could lose the keepsake he holds so dear. Once again Pawniard rushed Meowth with Faint Attack. Meowth was struck hard and, yet still standing, but he didn't block his shoulder. A tear shed in Aar's eye. "You don't need to use your body like this!" Meowth's eyes became swallowed in blue, fire like aura. "His Hidden Power is gaining the boost form Technician." As Mewoth's body began to become engulfed by the aura, Aar realized it was the time for him to use the 'Phantom Force'. "Use Shadow Claw as an extension of yourself and create the Phantom Force!" Meowth's pupils vanished into the blue aura, and his arm began to burn in blue ghost-fire. "Now!" Aar shouted in the air, and proclaimed his affirmation. Meowth cried at the aura's peak, and flowed into the air above him. The aura then took shape into what looked like a ghostly Meowth, and before the Meowth was noticeable the aura dashed at Pawniard and forcing it's way through any defense. Aar, although confident, was guilty because he knew that the phantom force can be a double edged sword, and relying on it like this is in no way true to himself. "Twist'd feels the need to prove that he can win even if it means sacrifice!" Twist'd's body fell to the ground as the phantom force's consequences began to take affect.
[OOC(The Phantom Force is a combo of Technician boosted Hidden Power Ghost and non-boosted Shadow Claw. It has a high critical hit rate and hits the opponents with a large force made from shadows. This is Twist'd's imperfected attack that his mother originally learned from Aar.)]

Although double-resistant to the ghost attack, Pawniard still took a chunk of damage from the attack. Pawniard fell off his feet as the Phantom Force struck him.
"Quick, Pawniard, get up and use Faint Attack again!" Pawniard ran at Meowth with yet another Faint Attack.
Guy hated to use the same attack over and over again, but it was Pawniard's strongest attack because it receives a stab boost from typing. Guy realized that he should probably do some training before his next battle, so he and Pawniard could develop some combos instead of relying mostly on Faint Attack.

In astonishment Aar watched as Pawniard and Meowth both fell into the ground. "Why am I pushing Twist'd like this? We've used these tactics to run and steal, but facing something head on like this... He is unprepared, and I am to blame, but I can't..." Aar saw Pawniard rush for another Faint Attack, and it was then he knew what he had to do. "My whole life; ever since my father left, I have been running, and hiding from my responsibilities." Aar rushed in front of Meowth's unconscious body. "I won't run ever again! I swear it!" 'SLASH!' Pawniard's attack hit Aar in the back as he crouched to block Meowth. "What's really worth living, anyways? If you're not going to be true to you, but most importantly being true to who was true to you from the beginning; your friends." A tear from Aar's eye fell onto Meowth's pendant, and as it began to fall into his eye, he awoke. "I'm sorry Twist'd." Aar, hugging Meowth, collapsed from the pain, and Meowth crawled from underneath and started crying out to him; trying desperately to wake him up.

((I'm soooo sorry I've been so bad about posting. Promise I'll get better.))
Pawniard was charging towards Meowth when Aar jumped in the way. "Pawniard, stop!" Guy shouted, but it was too late. Pawniard's Faint Attack hit Aar right in the back.
Immediately, Pawniard nad Guy ran to Aar's aid. "Are you alright, man?" Guy helped Aar get to his feet and reached into his backpack for a potion. "Here, take this for Meowth," Guy said, handing the potion to Aar. "I'm sorry, I hadn't realized that Meowth had had enough. If I did, I wouldn't have ordered the attack."
Pawniard was exhausted from the battle, and his health was low as well, so Guy used another potion on Pawniard.

After about an hour of walking to Accumula Town, Jake and Tepig were finally almost there. "Well Tepig, what do you say we stop and get some training done before we head into Accumula Town?" Tepig snorted excitedly at the idea of training.
Jake sent Blitzle out from it's pokeball and set up a bowl of pokemon food for Blitzle to snack on while Tepig trained.
"Alright then, Tepig, first I want to work on polishing your moves up a bit so they're in crisp condition for your next battle." Jake had Tepig use each move repeatedly on a nearby tree until their effectiveness wasmaximized.
"Now, Tepig, I want to work on your defenses. There's a move called Defense Curl which you can use to protect yourself from physical attacks." Tepig nodded his head. "The move is pretty basic, we'll practice by having you curl into a ball while Blitzle attacks you with a light Spark." Jake turned to where Blitzle was playing earlier only to find that it was missing.
"Blitzle?!" Jake said loudly. There was no response. Blitzle had gone missing. "Blitzle! Where are you?" Jake shouted, scoping the area for any sign of the Zebra. Tepig began to cry and hopped into Jake's arms.
"It's alright, Tepig, we'll find Blitzle." Jake burst into a run, searching for Blitzle with Tepig wailing in his arms.

Aar, standing on both legs, could not help but feel like he owed an apology along with an explanation. "I couldn't bare watching Twist'd sacrifice himself for my battles and challenges. When he fights... we fight. If he died... we would die." Aar offered a handshake. "Next time we meet you better be ready, because next time Twist'd won't be fighting all alone."

A few days ago.....
Nick was snoozing in his cabin when he was woken up by the soft chime that announced the ship's arrival in Castelia City. He stretched and looked out the window to see the towering buildings and a gorgeous bridge to the right. Judging by the research he had done during the cruise, that was the famous Skyarrow Bridge, and the way he needed to go to get to the first gym in Striaton City. He got dressed and shoveled up his stuff, putting it in a small backpack. Trudging, he made his way up to the observation deck, and watched as the ship dropped anchor next to the pier. Nick hailed a taxi as soon as he got off the vessel and asked the driver to take him across the bridge, deciding he would see the sights in the city once he worked his way back to it.

Seto awoke and the shielded his eyes from the harsh sunlight that streamed in through the windows. It was already mid-morning in Accumula Town and the place was already bustling with people going about their morning activities. Seto lived in a small apartment building in the northern end of town. A small Eevee with a pink bow around her neck slept on a pillow next to him. he leaned over and tapped her on the nose, "Hey Rika! It's time to get up. We leave on our journey today". Rika blinked sleepily and then smiled, "Vee!" she nodded and jumped down off of the bed. Seto and Rika had breakfast and he grabbed a bag that he had packed the night before. "Alright!" he said. "First we have to go to Nuvema Town and meet with Prof. Juniper. Then after that... we can do whatever the hell we want". Eevee jumped onto his shoulder and he walked out the door. He had the fridge completely cleaned out and the electricity turned off while he was gone.
The trip was fairly uneventful (aside from stopping to see a guy training a Tepig) and they reached Nuvema Town in only a few short hours. Once they arrived at the lab, he wasted no time in walking inside. "Excuse me!" he called out. "Is the Professor here?" He then noticed a ton of feathers all over the place and a beautiful woman in a lab coat running around frantically. Excuse me?" he called out again. "Do you need any help?" The woman looked up and saw Seto standing there. "Are you a pokemon trainer?" she asked him. "Well.. sort of" he said. "My name is Seto Kayain from Accumula Town. I'm supposed to be picking up my trainer licence and whatnot from you today". "Wait? What? ooohh..." she fell to the floor looking utterly defeated. "I should have stayed in bed today". Seto offered his hand to the professor and helped her up. "What happened here?" "Someone attacked the lab and stole a pokemon that I was currently researching" she explained. This made Seto irritated, he hated it when people took things that didn't belong to them. he had a very strong sense of justice. "Don't worry!" he said confidently "I'll get that pokemon back for you". Juniper wiped a tear from her eye. "Oh thank you." she said gratefully. "Are you sure it's not a problem?" Seto thumped his chest. "Don't worry. Just leave it to me". Juniper then fished around her pocket and handed him a pokedex "Take this with you. It's your new pokedex, an upgraded version with a 3D holographic screen". Seto thanked the Professor and ran out the door and to the entrance of town, only to bump into two trainers there. "Excuse me!' he said. "But someone has stolen something from the Lab. Do you two know anything about it?"

Fratley Irontail Nuvema Town
Fratley stretched himself as he walked off the boat and onto the solid ground of the Nuvema Town port. He was followed by his trio entourage; Freya the Lucario, Flare the Blaziken, and Lilly the Gardevoir. While most trainers kept only one Pokemon outside of their Pokeball, Fratley kept all three of his Pokemon out. They were with him since before he became a trainer, than the four of them shared a very strong bond.
"Man, that boat ride took forever. At least I don't have to worry about having more fits of sea sickness for a while." he commented before shaking his head a bit. He and long boat rides didn't mix, but it was the only way to get from Hoenn to Unova. Taking out his Pokenav, he began to try and look up the map for Unova, only for an error screen to appear.
"No data found? Great. Well, let's see if we can find the professor of this region. I just hope the professor's lab is in this city, otherwise this is going to be one heck of a long journey." Fratley spoke. As he walked into the streets of Nuvema Town, quite a few people glanced over at him. He was traveling with Pokemon they had either never seen, or had seen only in books, videos or other media. Freya and Flare walked along either side of him, while Lilly walked directly behind him.
