Hello! (Salom in Arabic)
Yum, eating foods of your heritage is nice, I actually tend to like those of mine.
The recent food I had was Mish Mish which is very similar to a fruit rollup, except that is made 100% from apricot paste.
I noticed alot of sweets are made of entirely fruit and tend to use fruits that grow on trees such as dates.
There are other foods as well that I have eaten. These include wraps of sorts, my mom frequently makes one, grape leaves stuffed with rice and beef.
It appears that beef, as well as rice and olives are featured in countless middle eastern dishes.
I might as well mention Curry is a spice mix that is common across the middle east and asia, and it is used in various foods as well. It is alot better than mere salt (Mesa in Arabic) in my opinion.
