I'm fairly sure that, due to the nature of how HIV/AIDS affects the body, immunity to the disease is nonexistent

It's possible but I think it'll be one of those cures that's about the same as getting a heart transplant. Risky, expensive, and no guarantee a compatible donor will be found.

Actually, immunity can exist. There are peripheral proteins that extend from the white blood cell membrane out, and there are many kinds of them. HIV uses these proteins to make contact with the white blood cell to try and insert it's DNA usually through endocytosis (the cell sort of swallows the virusa into itself). Some cells may have peripheral proteins that prevent the endocytation of HIV, or they may contain a reverse-transcriptase (an enzyme that converts the RNA back to DNA which would allow the HIV to insert it's DNA into the white blood cell DNA) that may not work with the HIV RNA, preventing the virus from duplicating itself or even killing the cell.

there is a population of humans who have a slight resistance to HIV/AIDS they're the people who are decedents who survived the Bubonic Plague in Europe.

It works in a similar fashion to those who have sickle cell anemia are more resistant to Malaria.
