Ok.. I have a halfmoon tail beta. Basically, they have 2 a**l fins because of a birth defect. He's got this giant clump of.. what I assume is poop, stuck in the center of it. It's a big black ball with some white specs in it. Reminds me of bird doo atleast. Anyways, I cornered him in the tank tonight and tried to gently nudge it off.. but it wont come off. I don't want to be too aggressive because I'm worried I might hurt him (especially if its something more then just feces).
What should I do?

How long have you had him, how long has it been there, what have you been feeding him, what size tank is he in, what do you use for heat, what is the filtration like, how often and how much water do you change?
Those questions and a picture if possible will help us help you. :3
