We're a guild of respect and openness, so there are few limitations on what you can discuss or say in here. However, for the safety and well-being of the guild and the members, there are a few rules to abide by.

1. Follow the Terms of Service and Rules and Guidelines of Gaia Online. That's the biggest of the bunch as far as what you need to adhere to. No flaming, no stalking, no harassment, no trolling, nothing sexually explicit, nothing gory or grossly violent, and no advertising or offering any service or item off of Gaia in exchange for gold. Terms of Service. Rules and Guidelines.

2. Respect one another in the guild and humanity as a whole. This doesn't mean simply avoiding doing or saying things that may be taken as a breach of the ToS. This means resorting to the old policy of 'if you cannot say something nice, do not say anything at all'. This is relaxed a bit in the Politics and Debates forum, but the guild is built upon respect and compassion for one another. We are all human before we are anything else.

3. Make sure what you post is appropriate for the subforum. This is one we have issues with more than anything else. Please read the subforum rules and use common sense when posting new topics. The only things that should be posted here on the main forum are big things going on in the world and other major events like breaking news in favor of gay rights and the like. Everything else that doesn't belong in a certain subforum should be posted in the Chatterbox. While coming out to your parents may be a big deal in your personal world, it is not a major event in the world as a whole.

4. Have fun and bring your friends. We want you to have fun in here. We want you to be active. Do not be shy; this guild is here for you to express yourself. Talk about literally anything and everything that you want short of breaking the rules of Gaia. Have ideas about what could improve the guild? Tell us (there's even a special thread for that). Want to host a contest? Go for it! We are here to help you and we will do so to the best of our ability.

Subforum listing

Each subforum has its own topics and each has a guideline of what is allowed there. I'll briefly list them here, though, so you do not have to visit each subforum just to read them.

General Discussion
This subforum covers topics to be discussed in a light manner, without getting terribly involved or heated in debating. Topics that go here should be along the lines of "What's your favorite place and why?" or similar - anything that makes a prospective poster to think a little and explain something is welcome here. Topics here should be such that they cannot fit into one of the other subforums.

Help and Advice
This subforum is strictly, like the title suggests, for those seeking help or advice with something to post topics. Those wishing to help should only reply to topics, not post their own as a 'guru' of sorts.

Media
This subforum is for anything media-related. This includes books, television, film, photography, music, theater, and news. There are a couple of stickied threads there that list books and movies with LGBT aspects to them, so if you're looking for a good read or a film that covers this, check those lists. This subforum welcomes discussion of media as well.

Games and Hobbies
As the title implies, this subforum is for talk of games, hobbies, and interests. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a photographer, or into scrapbooking, here's the place for those topics. Forum games and art threads are also found here.

Politics and Debates
This subforum covers political actions and stances as well as any sort of controversial issue up for debate. Everything posted here should be done with serious intent - if you wish to poke fun at something, use the Chatterbox or General Discussion forum for your topic (pending on whether it is for discussion or humor only).

Writing and Roleplay
Writing is a major part of our lives these days and this subforum covers anything related to it. Whether you want to share your work - fiction or fact - or get involved in creating a story with someone else via roleplaying, this forum is for that spark of imagination.

Around the World
This subforum covers talk of international culture and events as well as any adventures or fun trips of your own. For sake of not creating more subforums, themed contests and discussions of the supernatural are welcome here as well.

Looking for Love and Friends
This subforum is a place to start to get to know your fellow guildmates. There is little restriction on what can be posted here as far as that end goes, but I must urge an air of caution - do NOT give out personal information either in a thread or via private message. No full names, no addresses, and no other sensitive information. Such information, should you choose to share it, should be done over a messaging program, e-mail, or similar, not Gaia.

Chatterbox
This, like the main Gaia forum of the same name, is for all things nonsensical. Funny finds, small talk between members, and other such things that do not belong in other subforums are welcome here.

Crew Discussion
This is, naturally, a place for the crew and captains of the guild to come together and talk of ideas for the guild before implementing them (or asking the guild as a whole what they think) or to vent outside of the eyes of the general guild members. As such, only those who are crew-level or higher may view this subforum. My apologies to your curiosity.

The rest of the subforums, which are listed as empty, have no topics in them. They are also crew-only, in order to discourage any stray threads in them.
