Aaaw what a douchebag! I wish I had a boyfriend who was so sweet! I would definitely accept his ring, because it's not quite an engagement ring but still a sign of ensured love smile

Wear Sunscreen hanyou_alchemist In the state my girl friend lives in doesn't allow gays to marry or be married. She's Jewish and she has a promise ring. Its definitely not a Jewish custom. There are a lot of rules and laws surrounding what a Jewish wedding ring can even be. Shes a reform Jewish girl so I don't think it would hurt...

I am also a Reform Jew. I'm not saying its not allowed, I'm just saying I've never seen it before and that there would be lots of red tape if you were to do it properly.

Wear Sunscreen Aren't promise rings those things dad's give their daughters as a NO against premarital sex? Promise rings can stand for abstinence but can also be for a couple who would like to get married when they are older or after something, in this case, when he got back from the army.
