Nicknames: Rosy Lee, which she responds to better than Harriet however she'll usually introduce her for the first time as Harriet after which she generally forgets and will often look at someone addressing her as Harriet in a rather strange manner and correct them with Rosy.
Gender: Female.
Age: 16 (Though she looks a little older)

Personality:
Eccentric l Intelligent l Creative l Opinionated l Impatient.
Okay so to begin with it must be noted Harriet is very eccentric and is a trait which will only strengthen as she grows older. She is also well aware of the fact she is different from everyone else yet at the same time she cares little about the matter, as she sees it being different has allowed her to do things no one else can do, gifted one would say. The notable thing about her eccentricity is that she looks outside of the box and often to an onlooker will seem as though she looks and tackles every task and exercise backwards, though it works for Harriet.
She is also very intelligent so much so she hates to be around others, she believes they stunt her ability to transgress and more to the point she hates explaining herself, she has found few, if any, which understand the way in which she sees things and due to her impatient nature she will only explain things once in a civil manner, a second time in a more terse way and will then finally angrily spit out a lot of 'nonsense' if asked a third time to explain and sends the person back to square one with the matter. Because of her impatience she also finds this a good reason to be left alone and to led a more solitary life. Contrary to this if she finds someone who does understand marginally what she is talking about she loves a good debate upon the matter.
So you've managed to engage Harriet in a debate, good luck with that. Harriet has an annoying manner in which she 'debates' in the sense she'll listen, take it in but never ever be swayed if it's contradictory to her original beliefs, the only time she'll be swayed on a matter is if it's written in a book, oblivious if the book was written by a valued author or not. She is stubborn to the core and is very opinionated. Hilariously she may become very heated at these times however her brain is much like an uncatalogued library, her thoughts wander quicker than her mouth can move and often she'll stop abruptly while talking, fall silent and go blank. When she does this only very loud noises bring her back into focus, what has happened is that her thoughts have discovered something very interested tucked into the library of her mind and she's paused to read that information, losing all track of everything else occurring at the time.
In regards to her teapot, Harriet is fiercely protective of her weapon though she tries to make out her true weapon is not her teapot but her brass topped cane which she carries usually tucked under one arm. If ever invited into her room (Wow your privileged!) and offered a cup of tea, never attempt to pour your own tea from the pot for while she'll at first think nothing of it she'll laughingly flutter you away before you lay a finger on in and pour you a cup, if you do however even brush her teapot you'll learn she's actually pretty agile as she'll crack you across the knuckles with her cane.
As for her studies, if you've not guessed yet Harriet is a bit of a swat. She delights in gaining knowledge, learning new things and progressing in her academic life and at times often struggles to put aside her studies to focus on developing a social life, as stated above her lack of desire to enter into social circles and environments doesn't help the matter. So when she does put her work to one side she loves to bake, making delicious biscuits and cake to enjoy with her beloved cups of tea. (Though secretly she'd never admit baking also ties into some aspects of her alchemy so she really never did put her work to one side.)
So socially awkward, short tempered, opionionate and rather hard to understand at times you'd wonder why you'd want to befriend such a reaper, well if your one of the select few whose put the time and effort into forming a bond with her, she's a good friend to have, she's loyal and under that somewhat prickly exterior she cares and though she'd never admit it, she enjoys your company.
Likes: Tea! Ginger biscuits, Baking, Reading, Chess and Folk music.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Both of Harriet's parents are Druids so she has grown up with an appreciation for alchemy and she enrolled into the academy simply to continued on with her studies in a more formal setting than being home schooled, plus Harriet's parent are well aware of her potential and that she needs schooling to encourage her natural abilities in all areas of academia.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Piercing blue eyes.
Hair Colour/Style: Harriet has fairly short ginger curly hair, which often appears as though she's been dragged through a hedge backwards, she'll often pull out various oddments from admits the tangles and curls and casually discard them. Ref: Short curls, Very short messy hair, Longer curly hair style.
Skin Colour: White/pale.
Clothing Style/Colours: Mostly shades of greens and browns though she loves bold traditional patterns such as paisley, tweed, wool (as a fabric and knitted), Houndstooth, tartan and Argyle. She usually has a bare minimum of two layers, even the summer you'll find her wearing no less, the layers themselves do not have to match in colour nor pattern though overall the look 'works' in a rather odd English eccentrically twee sort of way. I'm rather open to much interpretation upon her clothes however some suggestions upon the clothes would be items such as, knee high woollen socks, high waisted trousers, knitted tank tops, breeches, kilts, tailored coat and jackets, waistcoats, shirts, purposeful boots, large wool scarves, fingerless gloves. However must have items upon her person at all time is a selection of pretty tea cups, her tea pot (Which is a blue and white china affair), her brass topped cane and a battered looking leather satchel. Build: She is very androgynous, with few, if anything but a suggestion of curves, yet still undeniably female. Her facial bone structure reflects this think of Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett.
Extra: The school skull logo she wears as cufflinks. She has a few light freckles which pepper her nose and the top part of her cheeks/the area below her eyes. Always wearing glasses, perched on the end of her nose, just for reading and thus looks over them the rest of the time though when asked why she wears them all the time she merely replies 'Because they make me look intelligent.' or some other witty/sarcastic remark. |

Natural Ability; Poison Detection: Druids have a natural ability to detect which herbs are poisonous and are not. They are immune to all poison.
FEAR:
The weapon: As a reaper Harriet must claim the souls of humans with a weapon, this is most bizarrely a teapot. However a family friend jinxed the teapot when Harriet burst from her pumpkin with it, thus it can't shatter. Even though the teapot is somewhat indestructible Harriet is fiercely protective of it and has a decoy weapon of a brass topped cane.
Tea Manipulation. Not a terribly fearful ability however I doubt there is anyone in the world that likes scolding water splashed upon their person. Harriet's fear allows her to control the flow of tea, she can manipulate it into various shapes but strengthening the surface tension, forming bombs which she can throw like a water bomb at her victim. (She has discovered this only works for tea, not other liquids including water.) The weakness of this is that she can only hold the tea bomb for a short period of time as it is scolding/very hot, thus this is why she usually carries about a collection of china tea cups with her, it allows for her pour a small amount into the cup, form the bomb and balance it within before she needs to grab it and aim quickly)
Ideas for various attacks with her FEAR to be developed in later years of her school life:
Tea Canon. Harriet can now form such a level of surface tension that she can form a jet stream of her teapot which is can aim with a far greater precision than her tea bombs. It also allows for a greater amount of tea to be targeted upon the victim. The weakness is that this of course takes more concentration, more effort and of course will only give one all out attack; where as before she was pouring cups of tea and using the bombs with several small attacks, she is now using a whole tea pot of tea therefore even with the raised precision rate it's not always a suitable attack.
The Eternal Brew. Frustration created this ability as she developed and worked on this ability when she kept running low of ammo i.e. Tea when attacking. Harriet can now draw moisture out of the air and collect it in her tea pot. This means she can make more tea while fighting a foe and therefore always have ammo, within reason. Because she is also drawing moisture out of the air it makes it a little harder to breath (like on a hot summers day) once the moisture is nearly gone, and indicator for her and also an alarming sensation for her opponent. Weakness, she needs to move on if she draws all the moisture out of the air surrounding her/in her immediate area or she'll run out of ammo and while she has mastered gathering moisture she still can't create surface tension on just water, so she needs to carry a supply of tea leaves on her, or make a very stronger original brew of tea which can be diluted down with the excess moisture she gathers from the air later in battle. Also if the fight is drawn out there comes a point where the tea will start to go cold, it will not be such an effective attack as the hot, scolding tea to simply be doused in cold tea, thus she must turn to her potions and poisons.
Perhaps in very later years of her schooling she'll look into her ability to create surface tension, opening up a far greater amount of opinions to her but she must balance this interest/study with that of her Alchemy. |

In general Harriet is not one for pets or so it would seem at first, she's rather dismissive of them and any sort of conversation surrounding mini pets however behind closed doors and when no one is looking she is terribly fond of them, finding their simplistic needs a pleasant distraction from study.
Scamper – Not a great strength of Harriet's is naming, generally just not wanting to waste time thinking about such things hense her pets have rather basic and often simplistic names, Scamper being no exception though of course slightly better than 'Dog.' Scamper is often not far without Scurry the two always up to some sort of mischief.
Scurry – The mouse which reminds Harriet of cookie dough, just the colouration of course, cream and brown. The two mice can often be seen, when not playing about Harriet's room, sat upon her desk at 4pm having a formal tea party with their tiny custom teacup and saucer.
Dog – Harriet adores Dog, she is a lover of all canines but Dog she is exceptionally fond of. He usually prances about in the steam that rises of her tea and she often sweeps a finger through the steam playing with him as he dances about. She's noticed with the more moisture in the air the larger he grows though even outside in thick fog he doesn't seem to get larger than knee height. Usually fairly small in size he sleeps in an old teacup on Harriet's desk. |
