i saw the last one recently and that put me in the mood to watch all the other movies and force my fiance to watch them with me since he sint a potter fan

well this is the first time im watching the movies since learning about snakes. last time i watched them i hadnt even heard of a ball python or even a leopard gecko. watching the first 2 movies i noticed some things

in the first movie the burmese python blinks, with eyelids. snakes done have eyelids

in the second movie tom says that even though the snake is blinded he can still hear you. snakes dont have ears.

also in the second one when harry is standing still and the snake is right in front of him the snake doesnt know he is there. cant that snake sense heat? or at least smell harry? harry then throws a rock and the snake follors the sound, using its ears, which snakes dont have neutral

should be watching the third one tonight. i think i should be good, i dont remember any snakes in that one lol

the second one is still my favorite movie but you would think that they would at least do some basic research on snake anatomy.

Yeah, I saw a lot of inaccuracies in Harry Potter as far as animals goes- not only in the movies but in books too.

For example...phoenix tears. Birds don't have tear ducts and they can't cry, they have a nictitating membrane.

i didnt even think of that. as far as birds go all i could think of was how miserable hedwig must have been all summer when her main cage is too tiny to even open her wings.

You guys, its fantasy. xD The "snake" is a basilisk, and who's to say basilisks don't have ears? Or phoenixes tear ducts? I'm pretty sure normal snakes don't kill people with their gaze, and normal birds don't burn up and experience rebirth through the ashes.

While you guys have osme very good points, Savage is right. XD

OF course, I could just be defending J.K. Rowling because I LOVELOVELOVELOVE the series. Read the books twice, reading them a third time currently. The movies...eh. The first three were the most accurate, but I guess they did their best with the final...

And yeah, I'm really tired/hyper at five in the morning.

ya, unfortunately I gotta agree with Savage. Trees don't attack people, and snakes don't kill by looking at ya. And yes the regular snake blinked lol, but I think that was meant to be inaccurate. Part of the shock, of, wtf this snake is talking, and let's not forget he could read the sign that said where he was from.

I think all the made up animals are awesome. Like buckbeak! And ya, Hedwig trapped in that cage was so depressing. But it was meant to be. For me the worst was when she died in that stupid cage, after spending all summer in it without getting to stretch her wings ever. And she was HIS pet, that he had since he discovered magic. I imagine it being like loosing your childhood pet.
