I've had many friends get their wisdom teeth removed, and for the most part, there's a little pain for a few days and soft foods. I'm pretty sure they always put you to sleep. And I promise, it's not as bad as it seems. I've had three (adult) teeth pulled before. I have a small mouth and was given a choice of palate expanders or getting the teeth removed before I had braces put on to make room, because the one baby tooth I had didn't have an adult one under it. Yay genetics! So I did that in fourth grade and I was awake for it, but under laughing gas. I could barely feel it at all and I had a grand time with the pre-medication! And it didn't hurt that badly afterwards either. So definitely get them removed (go to an oral surgeon)!

My Distortion || Do remove this if it's in a wrong forum.|| Everyone hates that annoying teeth. >:[]
So my mouth now is bloody in pain. My bottom-back left gum starts growing dat wisdom tooth, and bloody, it was really pain. I never suffer any pain in my mouth like that. Other teeth got like a mess, should I brace them?
With my knowledge now, the wisdom tooth contains nerves. Would removing it damage other organs? I've saw people removing wisdom tooth and, gosh, it was awfully pain. Has anyone had this experience?
I had a teacher that had his wisdom tooth removed, and his description of the surgery was horribly horrible. He even got a scar on his cheek because his case was a bit odd. Should I do the surgery?
Let's discuss and talk about the wisdom tooth. Bad memories. All four of my wisdom teeth were removed like 2 years ago. My dentist saw on my x rays that they were growing in crooked and so he decided the best thing to do would be to remove them. If he had not it was his opinion that they would have grown into my other teeth and forced everything out of alignment. Which would have caused me all types of other problems like not being able to chew properly or being able to close my mouth. I had surgery to remove them. I actually had to see a dental surgeon to have them taken out.But he put me to sleep because he was going to be doing alot of cutting and I had all of them taken out at once.So I would have all the pain all at once. Thankfully he prescribed me some lovely pain killers for after the surgery was over. 4laugh The first few hours without my teeth weren't so bad because the medicine was still in effect. I remember having a subway sandwich because it was soft and my parents thought it would be okay if I ate that...but I could not eat it because all I tasted was blood. So I laid down for hours and fell asleep but then I woke up and my whole freaking head hurt. I managed to go into my kitchen and take my pain meds which put me back to sleep. That bottle of pills was my best friend for maybe 4 weeks. But the surgeon was really cool he let me keep my teeth in a little white envelope...the only thing is I look at them and I rub them and they feel really curved. My dentist was right. They would have messed up my whole mouth if they had been allowed to stay. sweatdrop
I think that if your teeth threaten your overall dental health then yes you should have them removed. You can request to be put under when the surgeon is working because that is your choice if you are like me and you hate to see someone causing you pain. I don't think you should try to remove the teeth yourself because they are adult teeth not like baby teeth they will never become loose and I imagine that pulling your adult wisdom teeth would hurt a hell of alot. Everyones teeth are different so your teacher has a scar but that does not mean you too will have one. I had all 4 taken at once and the most I had were stitches on the inside of my mouth. I have no scarring on my cheeks or anything and the stitches were removed cleanly. Now the only thing I suffer from that involves my teeth is a little sensitivity here and there. If your wisdom teeth grow in straight and they don't cause you discomfort I think the best thing to do would be to leave them alone. My brother only had to have 1 of his pulled because it was the only one growing into his other teeth. The doctor decided to leave them be until he complained about discomfort. 3nodding
