Hiiii everyone. How's things? I've been seriously MIA for months now, and I am sorry ):

Life has gotten hectic for me since I have moved. I've gone from struggling to find work, to having work coming out of my ears. It's good, though, I would rather the stress of too much work, than not enough work.
My full-time marketing job is going wonderfully. I am treated great there and my boss thinks I'm a genius at my job. I have been given my own office and have been allowed to decorate it (: I will put some pics at the end.
I'm completely re-structuring the business I work for - everything is outdated and strategically incorrect. It's taken a bit of convincing, but my boss has agreed to the need to completely re-do everything. Brands, logos, websites, technical material - the works. A result has been talks of a pay rise and an assistant if I would like one (:

On top of my full-time job, I have been getting consistent freelance work from a couple of different sources. As well as more full-time job offers. It's lovely to be wanted and sought-after!
So I am basically spending most of my time working, which is tiring but the money is definitely needed.

I have also made the decision recently to quit Facebook after joining Google Plus. I love G+, I think everything about it is brilliant. I love that Google constantly come up with new ideas that surprise and impress me (: Btw, if anyone has a Google account and wants to join G+, just ask and I can send you an invite.

I hope everyone in here has been going well and avoiding natural disasters and all that stuff! Has anything exciting been happening with you guys?

Here are some pics of my office (:

Wow, that's a swanky office! I'm so glad they let you have interesting art instead of a dumb landscape with a deer or something like that. heart

It's great to hear you're getting on so well! And that office looks awesome, very you razz

I'm beginning to wish I'd studied something more practical at university, I'm starting to realise that when looking for jobs, Zoology is useless without higher qualifications. I might be applying for a PGCE (teaching degree) in November, but I'm still not sure, I might go to my university's career office and have a chat with them. Until then, I've moved back in with my parents, and I'm still a slave to my part time job -_-

I do meet up with my friends like once or twice a week though, usually for nights out which involves like 15 of us trying to stay in a 4 bedroom house xd

Moving on up.

It pleases me. I wish I had that same drive and ambition.

Thanks (: My boss let me decorate however I want, as long as it was appropriate for a work environment. Those photos are all my mum's photography.
I'm not a fan of landscapes at all :P

Qui: Haha, thank you (: Everyone who knows me says my office is very me.
That's surprising that your degree is useless without higher qualifications, it sounds like such a specialist area, you'd think that with a degree you'd be high in demand. Perhaps another area would make it easier to find a job in that field?
Spending time with my friends is pretty much the highlight of my weeks. We usually get together on the weekend and do something. Friends are where it's at (:

Zherom: My drive is mostly thanks to the opportunities that have come up, I suppose. I work for a place that recognises my potential and doesn't limit me, which has made me that much more determined to get better at what I do.

That’s awesome Lici! Nice office! I was half expecting some pink to be on the walls or something.
xD

I seem to be getting work everywhere that I don’t want it. Like, in high schools and stuff. The money is great while I’m in uni, but I don’t want to end up teaching at all. Though, I did enjoy working at Youth Services, because I like all the people there and the fact that we shared an office and played awesome music all day. Also, after I left, the new counsellor got a fancy coffee machine for the office...

Kind of thinking that I should turn my make-up obsession into something useful and might do an artistry course before doing post grad Journalism.

You should demand two assistants, too, just because!
And I love that photo of the pier!

Everyone assumed I would make it pink! As much as I love pink, I don't think it would be a good permanent work environment, so I went for a mix of colours (:

Excess work is good! Especially in uni if your parents aren't paying the way.
I hear you can do 1-year Napoleon makeup courses, that could be fun (:
