As I was loading my last row of small animals onto my cart to clean, a woman with two kids came in and explained that she was looking into adopting a kitten but had never owned a cat before.
OMG I WANTED TO HUG HER. 90% of questions have been about fish, 7% have been about reptiles, and 3% have been about birds or small animals that I have no experience with. Needless to say, most questions I direct to other people. Researching has helped a bit, but I'm still trying to find ground to speak confidently like my coworkers do.
But anyways, I stood there in my dumb-looking yellow gown because screw taking it off and putting it back on whilst going out in the public area, but rattling off things like any of my other coworkers could about fish. And at the end, she was really happy with everything.
Also, I did bedding changes today and actually got all but the guinea pigs done. And I woulda got them done, if I didn't need to take this test that makes me a ~certified~ associate. So. WOO. But I'll still have to devise a plan to be even faster next time.
