I'm trying to push it to the back on my mind, but I have to face the facts. I need to break up with my girlfriend. sad I've only broken up with someone once before and it was with a guy that I'd only been dating for a few weeks, and it was long ago. I've been with my current girlfriend for almost 8 months. I'm really scared to break things off because she's my best friend and I don't want to lose her...but I know that I can't drag things out for both of our sake. My hearts just not there anymore.

I know what I need to do, and it's unavoidable, but right now I'm really in need of a pep talk! sad

You're just gonna have to hitch up your pants and get to it.
It's never fun breaking up with someone but it's something that needs to be done. Tell her that it's not easy for you to do it, especially since you value her greatly as a friend, and that you still wish to be her friend, but your heart simply isn't in the relationship anymore.
