for me its cats. i can live without any other animal but i refuse to not have at least one cat in my life

Any kind of dog. I need at least one dog at all times. I mean I could probably live with out one... wouldn't be a happy chappy though

Cats are a complete necessity to life. Nothing better than being woken up by a cat purring in your ear. smile

to be REALISTIC I will say cat. In many years, when Cowboy leaves me, I have to accept that I might not be able to afford another dog right away, especially if I'm working full time. A cat on the other hand, is very easy and independant. Although it's hard to imagine myself dogless. Since my whole life revolves around my dog.

Ferrets. I don't even like only having two.
And I'm getting more and more addicted to sighthounds with every passing day, and have been since the first day I really started researching them back in 2006.
