oh yuk purina crying sorry. It's not the worse but, it's full of cereals, artificial flavors, chemical preservatives etc. It really depends on your budget, and the individual dog. No one dog food is best for every dog. Certainly some brands are better than others.
Acana and Orijen, Holistic Select, GO and NOW, FROMM, Nature's Variety, Natural Balance, Wellness, Horizen, wholesome blend, 1rst choice, Merrick. Basically anything you can find in a grocery store is probably NOT going to be good. I would look at a pet food store like pet food warehouse or even petsmart at least they carry blue bufallo and I think Wellness.
some things to look for.
Do; get a food with a meat meal high on the ingredient list. something with probiotics and very few grains
Stay away from: Foods with by-products, corn, BHT, BHA, ethoxyquin, colors and flavors
