Being strait, I didn't much care, it didn't affect me, until I decided to think of a cute little puppy love thing between children in adult bodies feeling a sort of...well, puppy love for one another, and not understanding what love was, just knowing they didn't like seeing one another near men flirting with them, and they wanted them to be happy. I asked the GM if she could make an exception, since she knew me and my wife, who was the other girl, and she told me no, since gay was wrong. This after she shot down a gay character of mine, for being gay.
Nothing big, just figured I'd let you know that it does disgust me that this is still around, and that she claims "relgion" and wanting to make the guild "family friendly" for her no gay rules. "But she's still tolerant!" ><

Sorry, I realize this comes off as a sort of desperate "I'm a gay supporter!" but, it's just..ugh..I wanted y'alls opinion.

Hey its fine ^^ And good move leaving the guild....gay is family friendly to tell the truth .... you see I am a lesbian and hey My little sister age 9 accepts me and it is not doing anything to her and many people know I am openly gay so hey it is the truth love is love ....who cares what others think right?

gay is totally family friendly as long as you dont cyber
and the religion thing is total and utter crap
most religions have accepted alternate sexuality as part of life
they dont all approve
but that is discrimination and they (in my opinion) need to have their guild shut down

well its their rp so they can make whatever silly rules they want. doesnt mean everyone has to agree with it though. i would have left too.

You did the right thing by leaving. Personally, I don't think your sexually should matter when it comes to an RP. If you want to RP a gay character, I say go for it. If the guild leader doesn't like it, tough titties. You can't ignore things you don't like simply because you don't like them. Gay people are still going to exist whether you like them or not.
Honestly, religion is a terrible excuse for not liking a person's sexual preference. I could go on as to why I don't like that reasoning and my opinions on certain religions but, ehhh, I don't want to offend anyone.

Honestly, the guild leader was hiding behind her religion rather than openly admit that she disapproves/hates such relationships. I was in on the talk with Lee and the guild leader, and she had slipped more than a few times, which confirms that the religion was really an excuse to use so that she 'technically can't get in trouble'.
I hadn't left the guild, but I remained for the friends I have in there. Though my efforts were in more of creating a guild, so I hadn't been that attentive in that guild. The rate it's going though, it'd be better to leave.

Welcome to a prejudice that will probably never stop being prevalent till after our lifetime. xD
I feel your pain though, I've had roleplays fall apart simply because I invited a gay character into the group, so haters ran away, or joined groups as a gay character and been booted or had my character literally killed off in the rp.
What I tell people in my groups when I have time to run them is, if you hate homosexuality you're not banned from my rp, let that pervade into your character, make your character hate homosexuality if you want. If you want a roleplay that reflects real life some haters are gonna have to show up every once in a while. That is not to say they wont be quickly killed off or pushed aside by other players hating them or what ever but the point is if they want to play a hater then they can. The erm.. more selfish reasoning for that is since I first started roleplaying I've always been a fighter, all of my roleplays had a lot of action in them. I gotta say sometimes it feels good to have your character finally retaliate and completely beat the s**t out of the hater haha

Great job. I am sure that you had a lot of things to think about when you made this decision. I left a website after three years and helped making it better then it was before.

I am still religious but I do not judge. My boyfriend is actually bi-sexual and if my family found out, I would be disowned. My mother is the only one that knows. She knows he loves me so there is no problem.
I am proud of you that you voiced your opinion. No one should do that to you. Your character should be able to be gay/lesbian/bi-sexual/straight. It is your choice, not someone else.
