Akira was born in Kirigakure, her mother died at childbirth despite the medical nin's assistance and her father was left to take care of her. Her father was an eccentric man, not really parent material. He always traveled to different places, leaving his daughter in the hands of a neighbor. At the age of 3, her father who had left for a trip, never returned. As she grew up, the neighbors had adopted her but claimed that she was a little touched in the head, sweet but a bit obnoxious. She showed talent in becoming a shinobi and they enrolled her in the Ninja Academy. With her genius mind, she finished at the top of her class and is now a Genin.
