She had to confess she'd been super-disappointed to find out she'd failed horribly on the last leg of the gathering.

Of needing only two more.

It had been completely humiliating if she had anything to say, and frankly she should have taken up her tree as a hiding place again. Freakin' hiding places needed to be easier to find too. Still, it was time to creep again, and she took a deep breath before plunging into the fog.

Shehk made sure to locate her hiding-tree first, patting it firmly as she passed it by before she spotted a familiar lingering orange shape. Aha! That was a trinket!

She crawled over to get it before she heard a jingling noise growing close, her ears perking up as she moved to crawl off into some bushes, then off into a log where she saw another glowing trinket. SCORE. She pocketed both of her FEAR trinkets then poked her head out of the log, just to swear as she practically walked right into the line of vision of one of those things.

It was time to move.

She managed to sneak out of sight to pick up another trinket, only to suddenly hear something crash behind her, her ears perking up as she turned to stare at it before bolting.

s**t s**t s**t.

She clamored into her hiding place, holding her breath as she waited for the offending... thing to go past. Once she was sure she was safe, she crept out of hiding and towards another pendant.

Then there was that noise and the flashing lights again. She'd been seen.

"Goddammit...."

******** crashed into another one of those flashing-light things just to be bounced back into a creature that was...relatively big, actually. She winced even before she felt it smash into her, and even before she hit the ground with a 'thud', feeling thr world go hazy around her.

She needed to do better than all of this, dammit.

She could do better than that, so why had she failed so damn hard? Why?

With a final sigh, Shehk closed her eyes and it seemed like the rest of the world was blocked out, leaving her with only thoughts of how to do better the next time. This was not acceptable.

This was not acceptable at all.
