Deep within what the Fair Folk call the City of Burning Steel, a clever and cruel human hid the Heartstone, the very thing the fae need to survive.
Without the Heartstone, the faeries will wither and die, and nature along with them.
And, the city being full of the cold iron that poisons the Fair Folk, they cannot go into the city to retrieve it. Thus, they tasked one young fae with finding a human to retrieve it for them.
Of course, the human doesn't know anything about the Heartstone. All she knows is that she has a beautiful new girlfriend that refuses to enter the city. Will the fae be able to do her job? Or will she fall in love instead?
