fluffers, my male cat, is almost 10! he will be 10 years old this year. he is also acting a bit different but im not sure if thats due to him getting older. he isnt as clingy as he used to be, he spends most of his time in the window instead of my lap now

should i change his food to something made for grumpy old man cats? or is normal food fine?

he hasnt been to the vet in quite a long time so he is overdue. i guess i should take him in for a checkup soon

hubby and i were talking about his age the other day and how he is getting up there. im not ready for my baby boy to be an old man gonk

If his activity level is noticeably diminished you could go on a light/senior. But be careful with those, every time the fat drops without an increase in fiber and/or protein it's often just replaced by carbs. Cats use fat a lot more efficiantly than carbs!

Rascal is close to 14yrs now! And he's still on adult food. And doing great, activity level is better now than when he ate grocery store junk.

A blood profile would really really help determine what his dietary needs are.

As long as he has good teeth, I would up the moist food intake. As kidney disease is one of the leading killers for cats.
