That sounds much more customizable then D&D. What time period is it set in?

It depends on the edition. Fourth edition is the one I play and it's set around 2070; the original was set around 2040 or 2050 I think. You can set a campaign within a few years of the general setting and get away with it; my campaign is set in late 2072.

My campaign is in Florida, working with the local mafia and a gang I made myself. 3nodding

Yeah. Thankfully, none of mine are too trigger happy (except when magic shows up), so it's been easy to keep things under control.

Though, they do seem to miss random shootouts.

I've been playing Table tops for most of my life >.< 15 years now (i'm 23) Shadow run is a wonderful setting, though the system can be difficult to grasp at first once you get the hang of it its a great system. Personally I have lost my interest in standard DnD with the new 4.0 changes. Haven't tried pathfinder yet. If you are looking for a fully customizable system and is usable in any time period and scenario (I use it to create my own worlds/technology/storylines for any period) I would recommend GURPS. It has a few minor flaws and you have to be careful about min maxer's but other than that its a fantastic system.

I love playing TTGs. I've been playing Resistance and Avalon a lot recently. I've also been playing Cargo Noir, Muchkin, Fluxx and Quarriors.
