NAME OF CLASS: Arts and Crafts 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Zixil Braxton

General information:
The Arts and Crafts room is tucked away in the corner - one way in and out, which is just how the teacher likes it. The classroom looks normal enough from the outside, with its standard door and numberplate (with an added addendum by the teacher, his name and the class title added on a piece of Muck Tape). The inside, however, looks like someone found all of the weird, eclectic stuff within a five mile radius, ate it, and then vomited it all up. The teacher has either completely lost his mind, or is trying way, way too hard. The cabinets that line the walls are partially filled with beginner art supplies: slime-based paints, earwax crayons, and...glitter, a thing so evil that it can be known by no other name.

Mechanics:
Your Most Excellent Professor isn't going to fill your head with crazy ideas. That's all up to you!

Upon entering the class, roll 1d100 to determine your Muse Level (ML).

Muse Level 1-20

Woah, you can't make art with a Muse Level this low! Go stare longingly at your first crush, or listen to emotional music, or cry it out! We can't have you making anything that's worth less than 20 silver seeds beneath your actual capabilities.

Muse Level 21-50

Did you dip yourself in paint and roll your face over the canvas? That's not going to be acceptable. Nobody will want to buy this. Or look at it. Not even kind of.

Muse Level 51-80

Looks like you might have the right idea. Go ahead and give it a shot. I guess the worst thing that could happen is you ruin everything, but that's okay.

Muse Level 81-100

Got a real overachiever here! Creativity is oozing from your pores (seriously clean that stuff up please)!

If you roll 1-50, you will need to make another attempt. A roll of 51-100 allows you to proceed. The above information correlating to your ML gives you a good idea of how your student will be approaching this assignment.

If you succeeded in developing a passable Muse Level, you will then need to roll a 1d10 to determine to overall success of your drawing/painting/sculpture etc. Feel free to pick whatever medium you'd like!

1-3 You really poured yourself into this one, but the Professor isn't quite feeling it. Take it home and pin it on your wall, because that's all you're getting. (Fail. You'll have to make another attempt!)
4-9 You paid careful attention to details, color schemes, and - most importantly - marketability. Professor Braxton smashes a sickly note to your body with a sloppy "A" written on it, because ruining the art would be a travesty. As far as you can tell, you've done a good thing. (Pass!)
10 You are a prodigy! This thing belongs in a museum! Or the home of the highest bidder! Your artwork will be displayed in front of the entire class. Hope you're not shy. (SUPER-PASS!)

You must RP your student creating their...well, whatever they make.

Bonus Mechanics:
•If you include a DRAWN representation of the piece of art that your student creates, you can automatically add 2 to your success roll, ultimately bringing up their final score. These drawings do not have to be anything fantastic, and can be as detailed or non-detailed as you want.

•Any student who is able to use magic to create illusions can roll 1d4 to determine how amazing their artwork appears. Which is what matters. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

•Any student who lacks dexterity (lookin' at you, claw-handed monsters) can roll 1d4 to determine their ability to talk Professor Braxton into believing that the piece of art's concept is going over his head and is, in fact, a true masterpiece. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

Each visit to the classroom has the potential to span multiple posts due to the amount of dice rolls. You can interact with other students, try to steal their concepts - whatever you'd like to play out!

It was school. This was the finest, and he was the student. It was about time to get to class.

The slimer wandered through the halls, an inch above ground; bobbing gently up and down like a boat sliding up and down the waves of students. They seemed rather than happy, and so he smiled. He gave slight nods to those whose eyes- or eye or some orifice where eyes might be- he would catch.

The small tour with the weremantis was enough for him to know the general areas around the school, and took him a few more minutes than he wanted looking for his class. Even though he was generally relaxed and care free, he didn’t like being late when it mattered, and this class mattered to him.

He had been waiting for the arts classes to open up a space for him. He’s been rummaging through the library the past weeks, that he actually started reading some of them. He would usually camp around the art section and just stare at paintings, but even the youthful mind of this ghost can only take so much information. He began reading up on Crafts, and summoning, perhaps he could apply it to this class.

“Here it is.” He muttered to himself as he reached for the door.

Click. Click. He tried turning it, but it was locked.

He looked up, and around noticing the wave of students dwindling outwards.

Class was over for today.

The second day was a success; sort of.

He wasn’t late, and in fact he was early. But he was far from prepared.
The goblin teacher was tinkering with a toy while the rest of the class was absent. The classroom was empty, and unusually clean. Save for a sheet of paper in front of each seat at every work table.

The goblin teacher muttered something about taking one of the sheets and reading it.

The slimer who had already spent the first fifteen minutes of class waiting for the teacher promptly picked up the sheet in front of him, and found that they were instructions on their art projects were to be, and the schedule.

Today was the time to research for Paper Crafting, and using other materials in conjunction with it. As soon he read it, the other students began to trickle in with books, manuals and notes in their hands for their own little projects, while he was empty handed.

This wasn’t looking promising. Now he was two days late.

Day 3

The slimer was neither late, nor early, nor was he unprepared.

The ghost in fact was in the library. Surrounded by stacks of wondrous tomes about Paper crafts, and all it’s wonderful properties that he got lost in its world. It was like a drug, once he picked up a book, he couldn’t stop and began continuously reading each one through, and sometimes going back to check the small differences and details in each.

He found how magic can add to the image, but he knew none of it, and was actually predisposed to now learning any since he was a ghost.

He also learned that drawing the sculpture beforehand was good idea since it allowed him to see what he was going to craft.

And so on.

The janitor will have to take care of this puddle of slime again away from library floors.

Day ???
It was already half way through the class that the ghost entered; absent for so long that even the goblin teacher forgot he was in the class.

Thankfully, the slimer was a ghost, who had tendencies to miss classes for long periods of time while they dealt with their fixations; Fixations was something ghosts and goblins had in common, besides unruly knights.

The slimer hauled a wagon behind him, filled with dusty works and ancient scrolls, and few other parchments of his creation scribbled with unusual markings and notes. It caught the eyes of the most students, while their goblin professor tried to decipher the marks through his lens-less glasses.

The goblin muttered a few unintelligible words while he was lost in his thoughts; it was something about the laws of equivalent exchange or not. Most of the time, the students just took to the handouts he would give out in the beginning of class.

The slimer rolled his sleeves and began on his work. He unfurled a few scrolls here and there; lit some candles, opened few jars of slime paint, stripped and cut Muck tape, and squeezed tubes of goo glue.

It was magical.

There was no hesitation at all.

It took hours.

The slimer created a frame for his sculpture by meticulously rolling the strips of muck tape into tubes, and taping them together within itself. This was task maybe difficult to most, but thanks to his slimey self, none of it actually got stuck to his fingers.

The frame already gave the obvious shape of what it was to be, and it didn’t take too long to cover it up.

Since El Greco was new to sculpting things other than itself, the end product was predictively not going to be as pretty as he thought.

The problems came with the glue and paint, and their application on the wet paper. They smudged and slide, but thankfully, just a little patience and time, dryer areas where it was applied was sticking wonderfully

Its head was blunt. Its body was sharp. Its wings were a little sloppy. But the paper mache crane was done.

He passed- unique use of materials, but it lacked originality and application wasn’t the best. But still, he passed.
