Being the "first" sect is nothing to brag about.
He didn't want any sects at all—not within his Gentile lambs, nor within his Israelite lambs; we're suppose to be one body with the Jews (and the rest of the tribes of Israel). The problem is that we as a whole and throughout history keep adding traditions (to appease wordly people/pagans) or subtracting commands from his word. That needs to stop.
Quote: Romans 3:29 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
For example,
Quote: Jeremiah 44:17 17 We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.
Yet Catholics have dubbed Mary "the Queen of Heaven"; doesn't that sound suspicious? Do you know who this verse is referring to? A pagan goddess. That's just one example. You cannot deny that the Catholic Church has lost sight of holiness (set apart, dedicated to God, not the WORLD and its ways). They should have never incorporated these worldly traditions into his body; compromising YHWH's commands does nobody any favors. He told us not to look at the world and copy them in our worship of him. (Deu 12:31, 2 Kings 17:15, Jer 10:2-4, Mark 7:7, Col 2:22-23, Romans 12:2)
That article is right: man-made traditions and rituals should be done away with. That is what is keeping us apart. Only the word and his commands should direct the way we carry-out our lives. We should follow his example only, not tradition.
Remember this very important verse:
Quote: Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

"It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in God and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and a dversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing. (The Noble Quran, 2:177)"
