hey guys, so as everyone has seen the pom pup has been treated and de-wormed. My dog (the oldest one) is free of worms and is healthy. She still however refuses to be around the pup. The pup is now around 6-7 weeks old, is playing quite a lot, and has now begun to chew up my shoes. My dog however (4years old) as stated before will not go near it. She has shown no motherly instincts at all toward the pup, every-time it plays with her she runs from it and bites the pups noes (not hard to hurt it as my dog would never hurt another more like she gives it a warning n**) the pup however is never phased by the bite and i have to separate the two. My dog is a very gentle dog but has made it crystal clear she doesn't like this new pup at all and i do not know what to do. The pup isn't bad, it is a little aggressive but mostly a playful aggressive. It has no teeth to actually bite someone. Please help?

1. Shoes put up out of puppy reach [closets are made for a reason.] Puppy toys EVERYWHERE.

2. You can't force your dog to accept the other dog, it has to come in time. It might be that the older dog doesn't like the energy of the pup, and will take to it more as it gets older and is less hyperactive.

3. PUPPY TEETH HURT! Sharp little needles regardless of the size of dog.

They'll get along but it'll take time and enough supervised interaction. Even if they end up not liking each other hopefully they can at least tolerate each other.
