A rustle from the trees above was the only warning and seconds later a small kat dropped down towards her target, large claws at the ready.

Kin wanted to play.

Zahra hissed as claws racked her skin, she quickly jumped away from her attacker. Red-violet eyes inspected the marks of the attack, then laid on the one responsible. Without saying a word, the Panther lunged foward, readying her lance for an attack.

Kin was too busy looked pleased about her first pounce and not paying attention to her opponent. With a surprised hiss Kin darted sideways. Her upper arm was cut open but she ignored it for the moment, moving in to the attack. She swiped at Panther's legs with her claws.

As she was too focused on handling her weapon, Zahra wasn't fast enough to avoid the attack at her legs. This time, she didn't bother looking at them, still paying attention at the other female. The Panther shifted the grip on her lance and closed her eyes for a moment, before moving in for an attack again. This time, aimed at her opponent's other arm.

Kin gave an odd purr and sidestepped nimbly from the Panther’s next strike. Zahra had achieved a small scratch but nothing more, and as the lance went past Kin darted in, hoping the close proximity would make the weapon useless. The Regular grinned and showed her impressive fangs, before trying to latch onto Zahra’s arm with them.

Zahra's eyes darkened in frustration at the weak scratch. They were so close now that it was impossible to maneuver the lance safely. The Panther watched in confusion at the Regular's expression, but it wasn't until it was too late why she did that. Teeth meeting skin made her drop her weapon immediatly.

Growling in pain, Zahra quickly gathered her now free hand into a fist and gave a hard, pained look at the wild attacker before connecting a punch to her face.

Kin wasn’t fast enough this time. The Regular tumbled backwards with a surprised squeal, one paw clamped to her face where the punch had connected. “Owow.” She sat down hard. The lance was beside her, discarded on the ground, and she grabbed it, tossing it at Zahra in defiance.

"Once free from the Kin's painful grasp, Zahra turned to her attacker just in time to see her weapon being tossed back at her. In a quick reflex, she managed to grab it, but it still got hurt her, if barely.

"Now now," She snarled, changing her grip on the lance "That's not how one uses this!" With that, she charged forwad, ready for another attack.

Kin wasn’t fast enough. The spear cut her side open, blood spilling out. She squealed with pain, darting to the side and clamping one paw down on the wound. The Regular, finally realising that this wasn’t play time at all and she’d gotten herself into a sticky situation, bared her fangs and snarled.

A hiss and she leapt straight at Zahra, aiming a blow to the other female’s face.

She sensed the change in this other girl. At first, it was as if they were just playing, even if the Panther didn't think of it like that. Fighting is for survival, for hunting, everything but a simple game that children do all the time.

But this Regular was no little girl, Zahra realized even before she received a square hit to tha face and staggered back. Even as she heard herself growl, drop her weapon and attempted to tackle her opponent to the ground.

For she wasn't a little girl either.

Kin gave an annoyed squeal as she was tackled to the ground. Her back hit the earth, momentarily robbing her of air, and then she began to squirm. A sharp kick and she wriggled halfway out of Zahra grip and was in position to bite down on the others shoulder.

Retreat!


Indded, while the attack was successful, she didn't react in time to block the kick, nor the way teeth dug into her skin once more. Crying out in pain, Zahra rolled away of the Regular. Her head ducked, hand clamping on her bitten shoulder, she started thinking on her possibilities. In one hand, she still had strenght to go on, but the battle made her realize that Tsic would probably be looking for her, and the last thing the Panther wanted was for him to get hurt for her sake.

And that was why, unexpetedly, she rose up and quickly grabbed her lance before her opponent would react, "Don't ever get near me again, Next time I won't hold back." she declared, before dissapearing into the forent, silently praying she wouldn't be followed.
