Sheridan seized on the opportunity. His resolve unshaken, he summoned the strength he had left, a spark in the air around him as he gathered his FEAR. A low snarl was less than a warning, followed an instant later by a barrage of fiery balls of superheated plasma, hurled at his opponent with all the force he could muster.
He dared not wait, dared not take a moment to see if his attack had struck. Out of the room, out of the confined space, reclaiming his pin and thus his student form, Sheridan backed from the room, his wings spread. Into the air, it was his only chance.

Sheridan hissed, a draconic curse uttered under his breath. He had nothing left, exhausted and beaten. The hunter's weapon had struck far harder than he expected, the limits of his natural size far greater than he thought in that space.
He was dangerously vulnerable, the protection of his FEAR spent. Dying did not frighten him, he had experienced far worse in the nitemare of the trials, dissipation was a pain he was all too familiar with. But he could not afford to lose consciousness here, not in the reach of the hunter, Tess would never forgive him.
"Follow me if you dare, hunter."
A parting snarl, his words hissed through clenched teeth, Sherdian sped through the door, wings unfurled, gliding down the stairs, through a window, out of the hunter's reach before he collapsed from is wounds and exhaustion. There had to be a way, some advantage, a trap to snare his opponent, a refuge to regather himself, to recover, and strike again when the hunter did not expect him.
