[1v1] Blindfolded Ninja (Levi vs Shun)

Shun was the one...

...who took another go at her before she could assess her current damages. It was easier to feel how things hurt when you couldn't see just how badly those injuries actually were.

In his crouched position, Levi couldn't hear or see him.

Where are you? If she'd learned anything, it was at least to keep silent in all manners.

Though the ghoul had a habit of naively trusting those she knew, and thusly calling them without worry, Levi had to grasp the fact that this could be a terrible downside. While she evaded easily with her sight, she needed to practice more without this key sense.

Shun controlled his breathing as he recalled his daggers back to his hands. Levi was being more quiet now, so he was straining his ears, trying to pick up on any sounds that were in the area. It seemed that it was a stand still in the meantime.

But he had an idea.

The Reaper tossed on of his daggers to the side, letting it clatter against the ground. Perhaps it could work as a sort of distraction or something along those lines.

It was really quite quiet just then. The ghoul chose to take this time to slow her breathing down. Whatever pain she felt, it was only going to get healed. Flesh wounds, flesh wounds. Levi realized there had to be a reason for this prolonged silence. Shun was trying to be sneaky somehow, she just knew it. The break in the dead silence of the two creeping students sounded like the tinker of metal to the shield floor. It was a terribly suspicious sound.

Like a default move to test the waters, Levi used her tail to sweep her surroundings again. This time, when she did find something, the ghoul wrapped around it as quickly as she could before it had a chance to slip away. If it was Shun, this was definitely a good sign. If it was a gnome, well~ it perhaps a little weight around its midsection in the process, Levi figured.

By the feel of things though, her fur and scales grasped what felt like a familiar body. It had to be the reaper.

Shun hadn't quite been able to use the way the sound of his dagger hitting the ground bounced off of things just yet. He wasn't at that level. If he was, he might have been able to perhaps realize that he had that sneaky tail coming up against him once more. He tried to pull away, but before he knew it, he was being constricted by her.

Grimacing, he let out a breath as he was finding it a little hard to breathe now. The last time he sparred Levi, she had caused him to pass out thanks to a choke hold. He didn't plan on letting that happen again.

Squirming in her grasp, he twisted one of his wrists to try and see if he could get in one more slice.

That slice to the tail would do the trick. Like a paper cut to her tail, the dagger stung terribly causing her to unravel from the boil. Instinctively, the white tendril snaked back to the ghoul and wriggled into her arms like some separate creature. She was shaking.

The shaking could've signified she'd simply been sliced at too many times and her nerves were now reacting to the stacked gashes. It might have also just been that he'd successfully sliced through a sensitive area...

Silence took over save for the sound of Levi removing the cloth over her ears and off her head. She had to inspect her tail. That'was'a right good hit, Shun. Respect was to be given where it was earned. She was sure Shun had done this sort of fight before. Nodding her head with approval, she offered the boil a smile whether his blindfold remained or not by this point. See ya'll been trainin' without seein' aye? She needed to do so as well, it seemed. Levi kept her position on the floor, stroking at the fur of her tail where she'd been struck, attempting to play down the pain as much as she could. The reaper had her shivering in shock.

The tail slackened around him and Shun felt himself free once more. He might have been tempted to strike again, but he soon heard Levi speak up. Finally, he moved the blindfold, seeing that he had cut up the Tatzel pretty good all around.

"I have been training. I was not satisfied with the results of our mentoring session," he said quietly while dismissing his daggers now. They weren't needed at this point. The Reaper noticed that she was shaking pretty badly right now.

"Are you alright? You did fairly well yourself," he said while making his way over, spotting that she was tending to her tail. It must be a fairly sensitive limb.

Guess need'ta think more 'bout what they meant. Noland. She was almost sure the ToTer was trying to get them to think about stuff. She wasn't as strategic as Shun, but neither was Levi as erratic as West. Somewhere in the realm of planned footing and shots in the dark, so to speak, was a sort of evasion. This is what she and Shun were trying to excel in. Reckon there's gotta be more'than what they said. But looks like ya'did mighty fine without anythin' but good'ol trainin'!

Levi's eyes kept on Shun's (or at least the visible one) and when she noticed his glance at her tail, her hands slid away from it, leaving the tail to fall off her lap as she took a knee and arose back onto her feet shakily.

Fit'as 'a fiddle, boil. Thank ya'kindly. She cackled her hillbilly cackle, one hand resting on her hip. It was still highly irregular for her to admit she was hurt. Even if the boil had earned her praise, she couldn't verbalize that he'd gotten her to feel that much pain. kekeke, I'll just need more'a this sort'a thing. Keepin' at it'll do all the'better, if this'is what makes ya'invisible. Sorta funny. Everythin' else is invisible so yew find yerself invisible too, aye? Levi looked down to the ground, picking up the blindfold she'd brought, tucking it into her pocket.

Aye, Shun? As if he wouldn't see it, Levi's tail rose up behind her, carefully curving over one of her shoulders and laying there like dead weight. Her expression remained the same and just a bit curious about something she was thinking about. Is it 'lot harder? He trained just as she did in the past. It wasn't her questioning whether or not he was as effective a fighter because he'd lost his eye. That much was evident from his efforts just now. Rather, Levi meant the training process.

Shun nodded quietly to Levi as she spoke about this and that. If he hadn't been training, he doubted he would have been able to do as well as he had just now. Even then, there was also that bit that Mitsu helped him with prior to Noland taking them under his wing.

Watching as she took her tail and wrapped it around her shoulders, Shun shrugged lightly at the question tossed back at him.

"It took some adjusting to, but it's all the same regardless. I just need to keep striving to over come my weaknesses," he replied quietly before tucking away his blindfold as well. He'll be needing that later on.

"I wasn't about to let the lack of an eye slow me down too much."

A soft smirk perked and the ghoul snorted at Shun's last words. Atta'boil. Just tha'sort'a thing I reckon'should be expectin' from yew. He was a really stern-faced boil, Shun, but he had manners. Some folks just didn't get really expressive, this much she learned about Shun first time sparring with him. Would make one heck of'a gambler.

Back on her line of thought, Levi felt somewhat eased by this knowledge. An eye was one thing but if she had to lose her tail-

Levi shook again, a chill racing from her tail as if it protested even the thought of being detached. Looks like'I got'a bit'a cleaning' up ta'do. Think I better mosey on'inta ma'dorm n' git patched up a bit.
