A genuinely friendly smile appeared on his face. "It's good to know someone is passing on the old stories," he said, "and your mother seems quite the remarkable woman." He nodded to himself.
A glow of pride filled him as she asked to visit. "Of course, you would be absolutely welcome!" He said. "We don't have many visitors, so any at all would be very welcome." He laughed off her worry about babbling. "you may babble all you want, I have a tendency to do so myself on occasion."

Smiling once more, she nodded. "I tend to forget not to ramble.. Especially when talking about books and stories.." She admitted with a sheepish sort of look. "My sisters mostly amuse me by listening to my little stories, Even the two adopted ones." She chuckled once more.
"I come from a rather large family, you see. Five of us siblings in all counting the two my mother took in under her wing shortly before my sisters and I wer born. My poor father's the only male at the house." She said with a hearty laugh.

Amante nodded, amused. "Well, when me is passionate, one forgets to censor enthusiasm" He said. "A perfectly acceptable trait."
Her description of her family made him raise his eyebrows. "Five children? My goodness." He said. "My family was rather small, and we've all gone our separate ways. My parents were librarians by trade and I picked it up from them, but I founded my own library and my own collection." He sighed. "There was just me and my sister. She went off adventuring and I settled for a quieter life."

"My sister Aisling seems to have gone her own way for the moment.. But, so long as she and Zaria are happy and safe.. I'm happy for them in what they do." She looked around a moment, one of her ears flopping into her face as she did so. "I imagine where ever you sister is she's wishing you the best though. And I guess one can't really be too lonely with all those books around to help keep you company. Think of all the far off places you can travel to with just the flip of a page."
She gave a smile that seemed to light up her face and even twinkle in her eyes as she thought of so many books. "The only sad thing about there being so many books and stories out there is.. that one can never really experience them all in one life time." She added with a small frown.

Amante sighed. "Such is, I suppose. We all have to spread our wings, no?" He said. He nodded. "I wish her well, as I am sure she wishes me, but we do not see much of each other." He shrugged casually, as if brushing it away.
He laughed then, nodding in agreement. "You have hit the nail on the head, as it were. Too many stories, too little time." He agreed. "But then, even with infinite lifetimes I still think you could not find every story in the world. That is the beauty of them."

Nodding in agreement she plucked lightly at a stalk of grass. "After all, no matter where one is.. there's always new stories coming about. Even if all they are is just some one else's telling of another's life." She peered at him with green eyes. "So.. Other than books.. Tell me about yourself" She said with an encouraging smile. It was always good to get to know some one while you could. One never knew when your visit could be interrupted. And if she knew her uncles, if they were around they'd do just that. She was Hoping they'd learned the last time to just stay away from her family.

"Oh, there is really not much to tell. I am a gruff, grumpy hermit and my main interactions are with my assistant. Sweet girl, absolutely essential to what I do, but perhaps a bit pushy." He chuckled. "I truly lead an uninteresting life but for my books, keeping them well preserved and taken care of. It is long hours of work, but rewarding."

Along with other qualities she and her mother shared, bluntness was ofter right up there with the rest of them. "You're right, That is rather boring..." She said flatly. She couldn't think of what it would be like day in and day out shut up in some room just preserving books.. Sure part of her would love to see so many books, but that same part would have wanted to read those delicate books rather than preserve them.
She cleared her throat some. "Sorry... didn't mean to be so blunt.. But at least it's a bit rewarding for you. Sounds like you truly enjoy the work you do."

He seemed utterly unoffended by her bluntness. He had heard over and over that his work had to be horribly boring, and he supposed that if it were any less than his passion, it would be. "It certainly can be. But all in all, the boring aspects...utterly overshadowed by the importance of the work I do. It would be a tragedy to lose even pieces of these books. Some of the ones in my collection are singular surviving copies...apocryphal works, tales that many would see suppressed, that sort of thing."

"I Suppose being shut up in a library preserving books day in and day out would be better than having to watch your back to make sure your uncles didn't arrive to eat you though..." She made it a small joke the fact was since she'd hatched from her egg she'd been warned that her father's brothers were horrible faes and likely not above killing she and her sisters if ever given the chance to do so. It wouldn't have been so believable had her father not been backing her mother's words. Sure one could say it was like asking them never to wonder about the other half of their family.. but still as she feared knowing her uncles she couldn't help wonder why it was that her parents wanted to keep them so out of their grasps. " I'm sure every family has that one member that others whisper bad things about.. just so happens there's two in mine." She said with a small chuckle. "I suppose it's only their nature... I guess not every Feli can be like my father.."
She nodded some and thought was there ever a time her father had not been the way she knew him to be? Calm, caring and gentle where his family was concerned... Sure every time his good friend Enfys came around they'd huddle in a corner exchanging stories laughing and she'd see something.... dark roll across his vision but as soon as he'd spot her mother.. the calm gentle being was there once again. Just what skeletons were in her father's closet and had her mother saved him some how from them? With a shake of her head, she banished the thoughts for now. "Sorry.. I seemed to have become tangled up in my thoughts."
