Intro
With the creators gone, society adapting them, it's a
matter of how their better abilities are used.
There are few in the world that can stop them,
and if they are stopped then they can be contained.
These...humans? Maybe...advanced, unreal.
There are heros and villians, but the story
only gets deeper than just good and evil.
It isn't just about one hero or one villian,
doesn't even have to be about the super beings.
It may start with the super beings, but
surely it wouldn't end there as they are out numbered
ten to one. The Panda Heros, a color of black and white with unclear morals.

and the true Lawful Evil smile at their presence.
A girl upon a building watches them both,
a sneer in her gaze as she gets back to work to earn what she loves most.

On a large island is Emerald City, long ago is where the story begins of course, there was a scientist who created the advanced humans. Abilities enhanced, unique abilities formed based on their own genes. He created many and taught them well, tried to keep them a secret even though it wasn't exactly possible. Secrets got out, much went down. The experiments are out and about striving in the world as they are, the only way to truly become more human among their life peers? Become closer. With each creation holds another meant for them, the two are meant to be and the closer they to eachother (physically) the more human like they become. They can age and live in hopeful peace even. This story isn't about peace though, because peace is boring.
Scientest long ago stole some of the original information to create these beings, and many went to create them. Some tried to destroy this information knowing the destruction it can cause, others who use this infromation tread with caution to figure methods of control over these creatures. Many years passed, two main underground facilities that have created beings alike. One instituion is known as Elo a very large based underground experimentation that is funded through gangs and other underground marketing. The other instution is smaller, and very hidden even unkown. Most who hear of it learn it as Tolk. It is an operation ran by a few scientist creating experiments to counteract the other super beings being created for 'dirty jobs.' Mind that there experimentation isn't perfect as it has been near impossible to inquire the information from their competitors, Elo. Most days they capture some super beings and re-alter them or re-train them, even take in experiments that escaped from the underground. It's all truly just a messy complication. The only weakness for these creatures? To be close to eachother, to become mortal with just range contact. Those of Tolk are working to stop the Elo productions, and rid the super beings of the world for good.
That is the back story in a nutshell. We turn to Amid, a girl who is a super human. She was one of the few recently born in Tolk actually. She would be used to fight against the evil one day, told to be a super hero like the ones in her favorite stories they would read to her. She was supposed to fight off the other super beings, become a leader for them and lead them to be human once more. Her partner wasn't around, only for the sake to maintain their abilities. During her highschool days that's when everything became a turning point for Amid, and exposure got to her. Elo got to her quickly after. She now runs the streets on her own, sometimes for Elo sometimes for the law it all depends what she would get out of it. She was one of the few super beings sent through a rough training, developing her skills to take down most other super beings since she wasn't born of Elo. With her power most feared her and wanted her power, she just wanted the drugs as she slowly went into madness. At times she fights for the law, just to get a pardon to stop some super being robbing a bank, but once that's over she escapes at any given moment (even escaping before she completes the job assigned). How do they maintain to capture her, keep her, and even threaten her to make up for her crimes? Technololgy has it's way to exploit new found weaknesses. When offered what she wants, she'll fight for the side offering if only for a short while. A true hazardous cycle, the Tolk couldn't let this go on any longer as they had their weapon prepared to try to bring Amid down. A partner she's only ever rarely met in her past. Tolk's goal is to get him to come to contact with her, so they both can revert to their humanity. Amid's partner may be having second guesses of doing this, knowing there are many consiquences if the bond forms.
More problems to rise? Amid's been replaced as Tolk was aware of Amid's direction when she started her highschool years. They needed a replacement, fast, and it seemed to fall upon their doorstep when a young woman came to them. Captured and taken care of, they would reform her into a new leader. She was of Elo, and now she is the new found hero to help stop super humans of Elo. Only thing that could possibly stand in her way? Her partner of course, he's out to get her back into Elo and quit the heroine act. He'll get a lot of credit for it considering she's a big pain and in Elo's way. Things are getting heavy and heated, experimentations are getting more extravagant they're trying to find a way around the 'duo' weakness in their super beings, causing many deaths (even possible mutations lead to death). Who will you be in Emerald City?
Notes
Oº°Why is the 'duo' weakness or the bond such a big weakness for the super beings? Not only do they become more human like, but they feel eachother's pain and pleasures. If there partner has an injury, the other would feel that injury (it doesn't have the actual physical effect of it though). If the partner dies, then the others is left to rot from a major disconnection (with or with out the bond) that leads to physical drawbacks to becoming human (there's a rare chance of death if not human as well).
Oº°Your duo, it's a term to describe your partner, they are your common weakness that could only possibly bring you down. You are attracted to them no matter what (this doesn't mean you can't fall inlove with other people, you can even dislike your duo, but you are attracted to them).
Oº°The main abilities these super beings have would be the basics. Immense strength, speed, high durability and quick, healing regeneration. (ex. A sword through the stomach can be healed in about ten minutes, if that sword manages to actually peirce you). Now each one has a unique ability/s to them. Duo's don't normally share the same abilities, but it isn't that rare either.
Oº° What is the duo bond? It is a bond between two super beings, a genetic function that is still very mysterious to most. Created at the same time, it allows the super beings to have a partner and live among their human brethren as humans. Of course this isn't what Elo wants for them, they want to use their gifts. How does the bond form? The two are in close contact, in person range (I'd give it about one hundred yards.) and are consistantly that distance for a few days. (It stacks upon returning into the range, for example. Your around your partner for three hours and leave, you'll lose probably an hour to that leave, but returning the next day it'll build off the two hours that weren't lost when you left). Leaving for a full day breaks the bond and it will return the two to normal super brings, the farther you leave from your partner the quicker you return to normal. Time and distance are factors, the bond is mysterious and unique. |

Police
Though they work on the regular crime around the city, when coming across a super being there is a always some weapon developed to stop,slow, or disable a super being if only for a short time (mostly used by special task forces). Massive structures developed to hold these beings were invented by the cities best scientist (some now dead, or retired, information exchanged between Tolk and Elo among these public scientist lead to misfortunes). They try to lock up any super being they can, but each containment room can only hold a max of three. Stuff them in a room all together? Impossible, considering they could all easily combine their strength to break out. Some containments specifically designed for many elemental and physical situations. Driven to stop all these crimes, they attempt a correction facility themselves as well as offer the super beings a chance to stop the crimes being committed by other super beings. Knowing how some super beings escape out of their imprisonment, they believe to continue their methods in hopes one day it'll work out (a small form of corruption with in the force, very well aware of how they are easily beaten by these super beings).
Rebel Forces
There is a small rebel force of policemen, outlaws, banned together to try and stop the superbeings in their own methods. Most plans consist of trying to steal Elo's information on them to try and fight back against the super beings, seeing as there has to be some method Elo is controling these super beings.
Elo
An underground organization built almost a century ago. Based off the information they got from the orginal work of a scientist, they used such information to create the superbeings and use them for their own gain of organized crime. Getting to the top of their game, they have about thirty super beings in total working for them and under their control (most created have died, rebelled, or became human-like due to errors). They control these super beings through psychological methods, most teaching them from their birth to work and obey them. Most listen, some that don't go under more brainwashing techniques that has a ninety percent chance of working and consisting. They hold much underground criminal action , there most private institution being their constructing labs. Some of the city aren't aware about the ogranized crime, only aware of Elo's existance that created super beings long ago and believe the super beings just breed to keep their sort of species alive. The higher ups keep the truth from the citizens , as always, to keep from any chaos.
Tolk
The counter to Elo, they are highly private and hide behind Elo with their works of created super beings themselves. The police and higher ups aren't even aware of Tolk's existance, only evidence that there are scientist out there fighting back. The only ones that know about the name Tolk itself are the one that created the institution. They were in the work of passing information to the public scientist on the containment fields for the super beings (to eventually get that information out and built for the police). During that time Tolk almost met a close call with Elo, and havn't interefered into the public since. They continue to create super beings and to shape them up to be 'heros' and model citizens. It always doesn't go as planned, they have inferior methods of controlling these super beings (usually having to use schooling and parenting methods rather than the military and psychological methods that Elo use). They have many super beings that rebel against them and are loose into the city as well, but a count of super beings working with and for them are a total of ten.
Amid Oº° Taken Oº° A girl born in Tolk meant to save the city, became corrupted and lives out days solo to gain what she wants (usually heroin). She doesn't play for either team (unless there's something in it for her then she'll play for that team for a short while). Created to be strong, and trained by her creators to be even stronger, she is possibly one of the strongest super beings in the city.
Amid's Partner Oº° Open Oº° A boy born in Tolk about the same time Amid was. He's only been in contact with her a few times, though doesn't know much about her. He was home schooled and in his later years he started to get training by his creators, told that he had to bring Amid back home. What he understood is that she strayed away and she's not herself due to the drugs, but as he is willing to take on this duty (not that he can actually deny it) he has second thoughts of forming a bond with Amid . Why? She's on drugs, a lot of them, and if she becomes human like she may take on very bad effects or even lethal. He doesn't exactly want to feel those effects as well, or much less cause Amid to die. He'll probably try to bring her back the hard way.
Amid's Rival Oº° Open Oº° Created by Elo actually, a girl that was pretty tough, but in the long run all the killing and robbing eventually got to her emotionally. She wanted out and it took a month to get away and hide from them, even trying to fake her death a few times (but knowing it's hard for a super being ot die without thier partner, it wasn't easy to fool). When she figured she was never going to get away or find herself a normal life, she stumbled across Tolk. They took her in and helped, she was actually hidden and they gave her a reason to believe again. Of course, she'd have to go back out again. Her main goal is to stop the super beings, as Amid was going to, but this just gives Elo a reason to retaliate. Elo wants to find who's she's working for as well.
Rival's PartnerOº° Open Oº° Apart of Elo, he's one of the higher rankings and enjoys what he does. Believes the city and it's people are filth as Elo's leader believes, and time for a new start. Purge the weak, purge the filth, and one day start new even if it meant his own death in the near future. With his partner going to the side of defending the city he was granted a specific task to bring her back , get information, and possibly kill her if or when it gets down to that. He's always liked his partner though he couldn't hang around her much, he's hoping for a few dates before he may have to kill her. |

Abilities
Amid has the most basic abilities enhanced. Her strength and speed is greater than most, but her only unique ability to some others is the gift of flight. To defy gravity itself, she is a very blunt force type of fighter.
History
Amid was born with in Tolk, very close with one particular scientist that she saw as a motherly figure. She grew up like a normal child for a little while, and did little training until she got a little older. Taken by her other creators, she was put through training and was at first prideful upon her strength. She battled other super beings that were her friends when she was younger, but soon went solo into the public education to adapt to human society at a faster rate. It didn't go over so well as she ended up in the peer pressure, the wrong crowd, as well as Elo tracking her and attempting their attacks. She fell victim and was a failure to Tolk, she grew angry at the world when she found the truth in Tolk's intentions as well as Elo's. She wants nothing to do with either, but they end up finding her when she's out grocery shopping (could be the hole in the wall she's left once or twice). She does whatever she wants, but it seems others have plans for her that she just can't seem to get away from.
Other
Amid is a very stubborn girl, usually bitter and when she smiles it isn't exactly a happy smile. Isolated as her room mate would say, she tends to be pretty laid back in her attitude when by herself atleast. If she sees another super being after her, she's prone to kill it if it's brain washed. Other time she ends up just knocking them out if she can't convince them (to leave her alone) other wise. She'll tend to use blunt weapons in her fighting, and is very good hand to hand. Abilities
Engineering - Alex isn't a super being, he's a scientist. Egineer to be exact. He's very good with technology and machines. History
Alex worked through a proffessional school for the longest time and under research with others of his proffesion he ended up in the wrong group, ignorant to what was going on. He was introduced to Elo at an early age in his career for his amazing talent and was under the projects of perfecting weapons to use against the super beings as well as containment fields. He wanted out very badly, knowing if he did or said the wrong thing he could be put into a worse situation than death (knowing his skills were a little valued). With his time there he saw Amid here and there, slowly learning more about her and the other super beings that he wanted out like her. He didn't have her abilities though, so he went to find her one night. Rather he ran into her on one of her...episodes. Upon having her help fake his death (and earning a few bruises) he lived underground with her, sort of working for her as a butler no less. He tries not to bug her as he doesn't want to lose his life that quickly, luckily he has a private room for himself to work on his own things and build while Amid is out and about.
Other
He's soft spoken, but not a timid person. Very laid back, and easy going though unless you get him worked up which can send him running the opposite direction or if he feels he can beat you then he'll fire off his new toy at you. He doesn't want any trouble, he's just trying to make it through things. If he catches Amid on a good mood he'll sometimes get her to deliver a letter for him. Apperance Alex |
