Fragments. That had been the result of their pact with the high priestess. Not even a question to the guardian, who would follow the priestess unless she did something very, very wrong. The type of wrong which would result in the death of most of the rest of their clansmen. And even then it would be debatable and he very well might follow her. But for now he had his fragment to worry about. The red mirrored his eyes to some degree, and he looked at it often when he did not have it tucked safely away. Not safe enough though, he needed something that could be worn and he did not have to worry about it. He had no idea how to design or create such a thing, and Ylaria had been scarce at best to him. But she was not the only one he knew who might be able to help him with this.

So he was...well, not making his way over to the Conquest lands, but loitering to an appropriate time of day. He had come over first thing in the morning as he did everyday, bringing buckets of water, putting a bucket over all the garden, and then a second bucket that was split (albeit unevenly) between Astridr and Cai. He then might have spent his time talking to her, crouched down in front of the plant, speaking in a low rumble and showing her his fragment, even going so far as reaching out to touch the crystal to her leaves.

Somewhere he knew this was not Astridr, just a plant, but the actions made him feel closer to her. If she could come back in a form not her own...this would be it. Maybe there was a chance...so however foolish it looked to those who passed by here he was, not really caring what they thought. Finally the day began to warm and he straightened to look around, wondering when she would show herself. Even though she had told him he needed to water he often ran into the Conquest horsewoman coming to do the very same thing. When she came into view he wasted no time in informing her about why he was there. "Morning. I could use your artisan skills." He held up the fragment, and really there could be no doubt as to why he was there.

Normally she would have been there much earlier in the morning to kick off her shoes and just get down and dirty before being requested left and right by those in need of a more artistic hand. But recently she had been doing requests from other members of the society around her, working with metals and clays to make jewelry fit for the nobles for the shards that they were given. She even had one herself, a small anklet that now rung around her left ankle, a dark metal flower holding the teal (suprise, suprise) shard of her own.

So, after a busy day, she was only now rolling over to her daily meet and greet with Sören, the horseman who had been adopting her green thumb, (sort of). Raising her eyebrows, she looked to him, standing at guard like he had been told his life would cease to exist if anyone considered touching the plants behind him. So stern.

Another request, then. Is what her face said as she just about collapsed unceremoniously, sitting down in the grass before the garden, exhaling a little and searching through the tote bag she had come to start carrying the last couple days, filled with trinkets and tools used in the crafting business. She didn't need to ask what he was going on about, it was so obvious.

"Have you any ideas, then?" Is all she stated, wating cooly as she let herself rest for a bit.

Soren looked at the Conquest horsewoman and with concern. For her to do anything without her normal sense of casual grace that she seemed to show (she had even been planting with an air of practiced ease) was just a bit odd to him. That, and she was like him. She could be rather quiet and reserved, so it was up to him to read what she was telling him without words. Lifen was sitting but pulling things out of her bag as if she was ready for work.

He sat down next to her, taking his time as he did not answer her question straight away. He sat with his legs in front of him, knees loosely pulled up and arms stretched out to rest on them as he regarded her. "No," he stated simply before his eyebrows furrowed slightly. "You don't look good. Working too hard? No niceties here, she looked off to him and he would say as much right to her face. He wanted something for his fragment, needed something really, but he wasn't going to overwork someone he was beginning to care about.

Hearing his question, she looked up to him, eyebrows raised a little tiredly as he looked her over. She didn't want him to worry over her - he had enough on his plate to fret about. She was just a little tired, and hadn't had enough rest. Looking up to him, she kind of teetered her head a bit and then shrugged, finally deciding to answer him.

"It has just been a long bit since . . ." She trailed, lightly flicking her hand in the air, not really ready to talk about the Seige against the Hunters and the crystalization that scared her. She was sure he felt the same way about it, but didn't want to pry, shrugging a little lightly and sighing softly.

"I will be fine, I am just tired. There has been a lot to do since we returned. Many people have requested trinkets." She explained, smiling to him softly. "But you are a friend, so if that is what you are looking for, do not hesitate." She stated, giving him a curt nod.

There was no reason for her to put down in words how wonderful life is now you're in the world what had transpired. He knew it all too well and he was more than happy to move on past that rather than to dwell on it, or anything else that had happened to the four clans. It bothered him still that a friend of his was to this point, Horsemen should not be tired. Halloween did this to them, Halloween an it's insufficient Fear. It was degrading to them, forced to live in the same world as these Halloween creatures, unable to lord over them like they probably should. Accepting their hospitality. It bothered him more than he tried to let on so he forced those emotions away from him, focusing on the real issue at hand.

"You're right," was his response. "I've come for a trinket. I'll wait. I'm no fool colt to lose something precious easily. When you've caught up, rested, we'll deal with this." It only made sense. Yes, he was her friend, and so if she wanted to help him out with this that would be wonderful (and naturally he would still pay for the services rendered). But she was also his friend, and he worried about her. He refused to be an additional burden to her.

What he didn't say in words, he said in actions, mis-matched eyes watching him as he thought his next words out, a bit of scorning showing through red eyes as he considered his request. She knew that normally she would not show her exhaustion - but this world was different and, at times, a little grating on her last Insanity-plagued nerves.

Folding her hands lightly in front of her lap, she gave the man a little curious look at the promise of work. "A trinket? There are many things that are constituted as trinkets. It would give me something to do, so don't think you're being a bother." She offered to him.

"What do you need, specifically? I do not see you as one who needs a bracelet or necklace or something." She offered, giving a sweet smile to him, placing her hands in her lap, expecting him to openly spill some ideas.

He didn't look satisfied, because he wasn't. He was sure that something was off, but he wasn't going to push the mare. "I don't," he agreed. "Something useful," that was an idea, right?

After a moment of thought he did add a bit of information, something that perhaps she could actually work with. "I always wear my pelt." Maybe she could design something to go with it, he would leave the details in her more than capable hands, and that was good enough for him. He trusted her. "Just...don't work too hard." He tried to sound gruff, but a touch of worry was present in his voice as he stayed seated as he was, content to watch and try to be of use until she dismissed him, even if he stayed with her the entire day. He could always use silent companionship.
