[1v1] And the Manticore comes in the NIGHT (Cady x Night)

Cady was born ready.

Sure, her previous attempts at sparring with the other students had all ended in horrible, painful, abysmal failure. But not this time. Things were changing. Her hair was longer, more flowing - a requirement, if any of the movies she'd seen were to be believed. She had more shinies on, too. She was fully prepared to explode things, and not look at them.

But most importantly, she had grown a lucky toenail. Cady knew it was lucky because she hadn't tripped over that toe since she'd regrown it. Lucky indeed. So she'd come to the gym, stretching and maybe doing a little pre-fight grooming, waiting for a nemesis to approach her.

Night was also born ready.

And he was born unlucky. While Cady had a LUCKY toenail, Night had a everything unlucky. It oozed off him like karma, latching on to others and pleasently making their days worst just by being near him!

It was a beautiful thing. And wasn't it just his luck that there was a manticore waiting for battle? She was standing around, staring down any passerby.

And like the cat he was, he went overly curiously and smiled at her.

"So do you often staredown the students like they are lunch or you looking for someone to play with?" Night smiled, cracking his knuckles in a silent challenge.

And he didn't really even wait for a response as he went in for the kill.

And his hands started to glow as he struck out at her.

"I'm feeling like your luck is about to run out Lady."

Cady was surprised by the sudden blow from the new boil. Something about lunch, and luck and...She didn't think he'd ever met her before; he just waltzed in and smacked her around.

So she said the only thing she could think of that was pertinent.

"I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE SANDWITCHES," she cried, tackling him bodily and flailing around.

Night blinked as she shouted about sandwiches and then...

"I DONT WANT A SANDWICH BUT MAYBE...IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD." Why was he shouting in response? he rolled with her tackling and blinked. Wow was she not afraid of his bad luck?

Obviously not as she pinned him. Bringing his back legs up, he pushed her back and then did his own pounce.

And suddenly she was the pounce-ee instead of the pounce-er. He was so strong.



"Oh well um but you didn't even get my name." Wow, this boil moved awfully fast. A worthy opponent. Her ribs ached. What strong manly legs you have, Night.

"I'm Caaaaaaady," she breathed, then proceeded to knee him in his manly bits just like Gladys had taught her. She was pretty sure this qualified as an Inappropriate Position for Young Ladies To Be In, right?

Night wasn't sure how to feel with the ghoul looking at him like that. Like...was it a predatory sly look or was she falling in love with him. His eyebrow rose as he looked at her more.

But she was a Manticore, and he was a cat. Their love could never be. "Nice to meet you Cady." Night turned his head, "Name's Night and-" It ended on a gasp, a breathless whisper as he rolled off her and held his privates.

While he was a ghost, and most things phased through him....this was not one.

His retaliation was not even that great as he swept a hand out and slapped her tail.

Yeah...take that.

And then he slapped her tail.

She looked positively scandalized.

"YOU...YOU GARDENING THING WITH THE SPIKES AND STUFF!" She gasped.

Oh my jack, were they doing tail stuff?! She slapped him anyway, just in case.

What was he doing? "Gardening thing with spoke and stuff?" Night blinked and didn't even understand what she was saying to him.

fkjsdlfkjslk and then she slapped him.

"Whoa...You like it rough or something?" Night didn't approve of hitting girls really. Hence why he pounced and liked.....played with her tail...

WAS THAT THE WRONG THING TO DO!?!?

So he pulled on it instead? Did Manticores have the same things like cat? Feels in their tails....

She sparkled at him really hard.

Wait, she was sparkling at him.

Why was she sparkling him? He just what?

"Look Imma finish this quickly okay. Your a weird kid..." He let the FEAR build up in his hands...and then ran his hands over her stomach letting his fear infuse in her.

He could feel it damage her and then...the rebound came back causing the boil to take his hand back in pain.

"How was that Cady?" DID SHE LIKE THAT?
