Truan sits where he had been told to, waiting for a meeting with Alessa. He's nervous, both because of who she is and because of his parents. This could get dangerous for him. None the less, he wants to be in a clan, and this is one of two he might fit in with. Breathing deeply he relaxes, but stays alert in case he gets attacked. Edit-

Alessa was always willing to hear the partitions of potentials for her Clan, and was especially favorable towards those Catiff that took the initiative to seek her out. The Prince stepped out of her office and gave the waiting vampire a smile. "Truan Antiru?" She asked, giving him her most welcoming smile. If he thought he could keep his heritage hidden from her, he was tragically mistaken; she would be a poor Prince and Clan Elder if she were unaware of who she was letting in. "Please, come into my office, we have...much to discuss."

He smiles respectfully when she comes out, bowing slightly. This is the first elder or above he's met so he's unsure of what to do. When she mentions his last name he eyes her. It could be a trap after all. But with his parents being hidden a name doesn't mean everything is given away. Nodding, he takes the chance and follows her. "Yes, I'm Truan. Thank you for seeing me... Ma'am? Is that what I call you?" He's trying not to be rude. "I'm without a clan and don't like that. I've studied the clans out there and yours is one I feel I'd fit into. If you'll have me."

"Ma'am will do," Alessa agreed. "'Your Higness' is a bit formal, and I'm not acting in my capacity as Prince now." She chuckled. She sat down behind her desk and gestured to a chair. "Please, sit." She leaned forward, elbows on the desk, hands clapped, chin on her hands. "Always glad to meet someone so interested in our Clan. Pleas give my best wishes to your parents, though I doubt they'll accept them." She said drily. Clan Venture hadn't exactly been friends of the Salubri recently, and her personal close relationship with Lazarus of the Tremere wasn't at all helpful.

Truan does as he's told, sitting where she gestures to. "Mom probably won't, she's a very suspicious person. But my Dad might. He believes there's a few out there who won't kill. I'm not here about them though. I wish to find a clan for myself, one who will accept me. See if there's one who won't kill me for what they are."

Alessa waved a hand dismissively. "Tremere's vendetta is not mine, and I have no reason to do you injury because of who your parents may be." She said, shrugging. "It would be pointless and counterproductive. Now, please do attempt to sell me on bringing you into the clan. What, dear Truan, do you have to offer us? Why should I go out of my way, lie to my closest advisor, and give you the power and responsibility that comes with being a member of the Clan of Kings?"

((Got to add the GI or I won't get the notice lol.)) "That is why I'm here. I decided to take the risk that you would be fair. That you'd judge me on who I am instead of some vendetta or belief. Ma'am I'm young, I know. But I have a thirst for learning, anything this clan has to teach me I will learn. I won't lie, I know being in a clan comes with some protection. No one is invincible so that's a perk. But I'm good with words and good at convincing others of anything." His smile is one full of charm, something he's not even using fully with her. He sees no true point, knowing she's been around far too long to fall for charm. But it's part of who he is, a talent of his. "With me you have someone who will never betray you."

Alessa sat in silence, letting him finish. He was right that his charm had little to no effect on the ancient Elder, but she did appreciate the attempt. "A charmer, hmm? We do certainly appreciate those in our ranks. And loyalty is an excellent thing to have." She leaned back. "But that does not tell me the most important thing I need to know. To be a Ventrue is a great honor, but a great burden. We are the defenders of the Camarilla and its Traditions. We have a high responsibility to every other Clan within its ranks. Do you think that you can handle that?" GI Therapist Hope [[Derp derp, I am such a genius]]

"Normally what to say to win someone over comes to me easily. I don't wish to play games here though. Yes I can handle it. As it is I have the responsibility of not allowing myself to be bait to those who wish the Salubri dead. And the responsibility of keeping where they are secret. More is welcome, especially if it comes with respect. I will not hide like my parents." He's a bold one, but not foolish.

Alessa tilted her head and considered his answers. "Well." She stood up, walked out from behind her desk, and proceeded to circle him in an almost predatory manner. "You do make an excellent point. You already carry a heavy burden...one that I can make lighter. After all, if I do accept you, you are no longer a Salubri, and I take threats to my Clan...intensely personally." She was the only Elder. Her duty was to protect every member of her Clan as best she could.

Truan tenses up when she circles him. He's on alert for anything. "That's one reason I'm looking for a clan. I'm one by blood, but it's not what I am." He's referring to not having a third eye. "I hear good things about you and this clan. The question is, what do you think of me."

Alessa stopped circling, tilting her head to the side. It was clear she was thinking, and thinking hard.
"...I believe I have heard enough. I will contact you if I decide you are fit for my Clan. But I need time to consider."

Truan watches her a moment before nodding. "Yes Ma'am." Bowing slightly he excuses himself. 'That went... better than it could have. So good I guess.' It's not all that he hoped for, but she didn't kill him either.
